Been there - it can be daunting because it's a lot of jobs in one! director, costuming, actor, scriptwriter, designer, inker, etc.

one sentence paragraph advice: start small; start with 3 panel doodle experiments with and without dialogue, and work your way up to a page, 3 pages, 8, and so on. shaky inked-in frames are totally okay here - you're playing with the idea of communicating a scene rather than a still image. what compositions work for what mood? what compositions feel great for a horror vibe versus comedic? do you prefer drawing people talking or gesturing or larger-level staging? etc.

for theory: comicsdevices.com is an absolutely invaluable recent glossary of must-know terms/useful building blocks if you're stuck on how to handle a set of panels. don't let the twee graphics fool you - i learned a lot from here despite doing comics for a while.

for theory (longer): scott mccloud's "understanding comics" book is the undisputed go-to for several generations of mangaka/cartoonists. very easy to grab a pdf from the internet, but so worth purchasing if you can. spending a few months minimum with film theory is also adjacently useful.

for technical execution: this heavily depends on the medium/program you're using. my honest advice is looking up youtube tutorials for whichever digital program you're using - the process of setting up borders for example will be different in photoshop than krita than csp. some digital programs have more comics resources than others - i know a lot of people who favor csp for that reason! i can give more detailed technical advice on krita specifically in a different ask if you want to send one, but it's very niche.
