Pure Vanilla and White Lily: 20 years, they are from the world above.
The two lived together with WL's father (since PV's biological parents had passed away). Although they didn't have many friends, they had each other. One of the reasons for their loneliness was that little WL loved insects and often played pranks with them, but PV was still with her.
One day, the children, playing at home, came across two small, strange, and very adorable creatures. The creatures were friendly, and they ended up taking them home, hiding the ones from Lily's father. Eventually, they were discovered, but instead of scolding them, he greeted them as if they were old friends. The confused children asked the father if he knew what they were, and he told them that he did.
Then WL's father told them about a wonderful world that lay beneath them, a world called Slugterra, a place where he had lived many adventures, but from which he had to return to be with his family. He told them that these creatures were actually his slugs and faithful friends in many adventures. He also taught the children about them. Some things, like a journal with drawings of the local wildlife and some photos, but most importantly, a slug launcher.
From then on, their father told the children all about the adventures he had in his youth, and he promised them that when they came of age, he would take them to Slugterra.
But that promise wasn't kept, as WL's father passed away from an illness. He left the young people a letter apologizing for not being able to fulfill his promise, but also providing them with instructions on how to get to Slugterra.
When the young people turned 20, they decided to make the journey underground, knowing that it wouldn't be a one-way trip to the world beyond the surface.
Golden Chess: 20 years, an agile slinger and with skills in technology and mechanics.
She is an adventurous and agile girl. She met her best friend Holly Berry when they were teenagers, they decided to start their journey together, but one day her friend Holly surprised her by introducing her to two new friends whom she would welcome into her refuge. Even so, she received them with open arms, adding them to her group.
Holly Berry: 22 years, slinger and adventuress
She grew up in a small cave, a village of farmers. From a young age, she dedicated herself to protecting the villagers of her little cave. She met her slug companion when she was young, and together they protected their home. She quickly became a skilled slug slinger.
When she reached adolescence, she began going on adventures. It was there that she met her best friend and partner in adventure, Golder Chees.
When they reached adulthood, they established their base in a peaceful, plant-filled cavern. One day, while Holly was out training for a competition she had entered, she met two people being attacked by bandits. She helped them and took them into her home.
Dark Cacao: 23 years and Prince of Bi-Ryond
Hailing from the coldest and most dangerous caverns, he was raised to fight not only slugs, but also bladed weapons.
He is the crown prince of his kingdom, and from a young age, he became a professional slug slinger and a skilled swordsman.
He is currently on a journey of self-discovery to bring honor to his people and himself.
He often participates in important duels, and although far from home, he keeps a watchful eye on the situation in his kingdom.
In his last competition, he decided to join a group of travelers seeking adventure.

•Vanilla's biological parents knew WL's family and were very close to them, and upon their death they left custody of their son to WL's father.
•Lily and Pure use the slugs that belonged to WL's father.
•Golden Chess was the one who designed and built her own slug launcher, she is also the first to perform a slug fusion, and she knows how to use her slug launcher as a staff (like the invincible master).
•Bi-Ryond It is a kingdom located in the frozen caverns, forged by people who came from the eastern caverns, who ended up in the western caverns (I'm still thinking about how they got there, but it was during the time of the emperor, when they were trying to escape) settling in those caverns and forging their kingdom based on their traditions.
•This kingdom is of Asian (Korean) culture; in fact, they have their own language and accent, although they also speak and understand the language of the other cave dwellers. And the kingdom is also one of the few places that still use traditional weapons in addition to launchers, this to protect their people from the dangers of that cavern.
•PV and WL are the only ones who name their slugs.
•Lily uses her father's blaster as a memento, and GC is the one who repairs it so she can use it, since it was very old.
•PV and WL don't have mek-beasts, so their friends are the ones who carry them (Cacao carries Pure and Golden carries Lili).
