“When you place your character's eyes on the horizon line/eye level you're looking at them (in the eyes) as if you're the same height so when your eyes move down to their feet/shoes it's as if you're looking 'down' on them even tho it's a 2d image. Plus drawing flat feet sucks!”

“To add onto this: the horizon line will pass through all figures of the same height at the same place. So you can correctly scale figures back in space like this.

Also really helps with keeping distant doors, stairs, and monsters in the right scale.”
