I stumble from cab to place to cab to place, finding and losing people, time, and more throughout. Lost in the twirling vortex of the world.

The crisp night air wraps me as it blows in from the water. It just stopped raining, but the fog is still thick enough to leave condensation rolling down my coat. The glowing lights lead the way to my path, their reflection in the water constantly changing. I cross to another world I do not know. 

The city night blurs past me like my wasting youth. A whirl of fluctuating boiling excitement and crashing indifferent silence. The ambient noise of the freeway overpass embracing me. Comfortably lost in the faces and light of the city I call home. I love shadows where I can watch and be unknown.
