āThank god youāre breathing.ā @arsenal-malmar
[When Mimi regained conscience, she was laying down on the ground, coughing for air. Her throat, nostrils and eyes burned. Ironic how her first element, fire, could turn its back on its masters as well, making no difference between the victims, even casually saving some; that was what could happen when things were out of controlā¦
She hadnāt started the fire, but she had tried to extinguish it with magic. They were in a small village not too far from the forest where she could usually be found. There were few houses grouped around a central open space with a fountain; nothing fancy or harmful. The flames had their origins in one of the buildings and were threatening to spread. She just had the urge to go, trying to tame it from the outside, then from the inside while the people that were still stuck ran out. She had almost made it; the blazes were changing in color and size, becoming of a cold blue that steadily lost its heat. Too bad that another flare erupted from behind her as a part of an upper floor crashed down. She was lucky to be in one piece above all.]
The house⦠[she whispered as confused memories came back to her, trying to push herself back up instinctively as she didnāt realize that she was out of there.]
Even for the simplest of things, for the most part of the time at least, [she explained with a small smile. She looked away, beyond her shoulder, with a kind of embarrassed giggle.] It almost feels like cheating, but why not? It helps in a lot of occasions, the most trivial ones included.
Malmar shrugged.Ā āWell whatever works, works I guess. As long as it isnāt a strain or anything thatās good. Cheating though? Seems odd to say it at that. I mean, you had to learn how to use magic and all.ā
