       i never know if anyone actually reads this part, so i’ll do my best ( and fail miserably ) at keeping this short and sweet. i’m just on the brink of a HUGE milestone, and while follower count isn’t a major factor in my behaviour on here, i do believe it’s worth appreciating and saying thank you to you all for sticking around. this is my way of giving something back to thecommunity, should you wish it. it’s been a long ride with ups and downs, and i don’t plan on leaving just yet.

“It’s not even about the minigolf, or skating, or bowling. If we go out and do things, I feel like we broke some stupid unspoken rule. It’s just that I don’t know what this is.” She sighed deeply before sitting back on the edge of Stiles’ bed. She felt a little bad putting this onto him, but how was she supposed to know without him? This felt like some swirling vortex type of mess.

“Yeah, it started with that. Stiles, it’s been forever since then. This was some tiny little accident, then it kept happening. And I didn’t want it to stop. But I don’t know what it is! I don’t want us to just be fooling around and pretending to study, anymore. I don’t want that to be it. Not just it. I feel like us doing stuff together, outside of here, it’s like trying to find a label. I just want to know.”

“But we don’t have any rules. That’s the – the great part, because it’s not – we don’t have to do anything if we don’t want to, right?” Stiles was floundering here, and it looked like Allison was too and fuck, why were thing getting complicated, they shouldn’t be complicated, that was the whole point of doing stuff like this with each other. They were the humans of the team, they had to stick together, and this was confusing. “I don’t know what this is either.”

“Wait, you want to know what we’re doing but you don’t want a label? Or you just don’t know what the label is?” Stiles asked, scratching the back of his neck as he looked over at Allison, worrying at his bottom lip. “You didn’t want it to stop it to stop then – does that mean you want it to stop now?”

Because that would kind of suck. A lot.

“The no rules thing was great, yeah, but what if it doesn’t feel great anymore?” She asked, feeling frustrated with herself. She was trying desperately to get her thoughts together, put them in order so that she could explain things, but it all just kept evading her, dammit.

“I don’t want it to stop, I’m just .. w o r r i e d ? I don’t want just this anymore, and I don’t wanna be the one to screw this up. I’m terrified of screwing up, okay? What if I -- What if I want something different, and it ruins whatever this is? But whatever this is turns out better in the long run?” 

Allison doubted she was making any sense with her mind all jumbled like this, struggling to clarify. It was just difficult. The sneaking part of things was fun sometimes, of course, but things she’d begun to want had been moved into a couple’s territory, and they weren’t that. It was Stiles And Allison, the Human Duo of the pack. She couldn’t mess that up, right?

“I’m not opposed to it not happening again.” She added, shrugging. “I don’t think they’ll ask. Who would question it, right?”

“Right.” Stiles nodded decisively and looked over, grinning faintly at Allison. It probably wasn’t the best time to grin at someone, but hey, they were friends and they were okay.

There wasn’t anything really wrong with this, they weren’t going to hurt anybody, they could keep it to themselves and be perfectly fine, she was sure.

       a nightmare. he was OLD ENOUGH to         deal with them by now. pestering someone        else was stupid. he should just leave. 

over time, allisons sleep schedule had been changed over and over again.

but this hadnt been a part of any change in the last three or four years. she blinks away the remaining sleep before speaking.
