He sat back in his seat and tilted his head in interest, “So, my dear, what is this  glorious announcement of yours? I take it this is why you came to visit me?”

She watches at the hostess comes over.  Smiling just slightly as he offered to take  over the bill. “Ever the sweetheart aren’t you?” Vex comments before ordering a small bite to eat. “Thank you.”

  ❝ yeah, lulu’s real good at that. ❞ he gives the other elf a crooked grin, crossing his arms over his chest loosely. this was one of the first times he’d seen another pair of twins, so maybe it was as uncommon as the other seemed to think it was.  ❝ don’t think i caught your names? pretty sure lup didn’t either. ❞

“Well, I’d be lying if I said things had been easy. Simpler, perhaps, but never easy.”

In truth, very few members of Vox Machina had kept in touch. Perhaps it was for the better. Shaun was a bright and shining beacon of a time long passed. The greying merchant gestured to one of the empty seats in the booth for her to join him. He slid back into his own seat, hand resting on an already-emptied glass.

“But surely, things are far more exciting for you? How is dear Percival?”

“I think we would go insane if life  were easy Gilmore dear.” The  half-elf smiled at the shop keep. Offering a small smile and lacing  her fingers together, resting her elbows on the table as she took  a seat at the table. 

“I’d never say no to some drinks but if you should be thanking anyone, it’d be your brother. I may have risked something but he put a lot on the line and even I’m not quite sure how that’s going to go down in the end…” He sighs, shaking his head. “Keep an eye on him, I know better than anyone that messing with deities is a dangerous path and one not too many leave in one piece.”

“I was paying attention, it’s just difficult to yell across to you when you’ve strayed too far.” He leans on his sister, sighing softly. There wasn’t a scratch on him but he was certain his ribs were black and blue from an earlier hit. “I’m sure Grog would hand it over, but best to fuck with him.”
