Distinguished Gents - Celebrating 10 Years of Music Madness
The David Peaston Foundation Using Music as a Tool of
Strength and Encouragement to Promote Health Awareness
(January 18, 2016) The David Peaston Foundation is rooted in the vision of its founder, the late great David Peaston, with a mission of providing health education to individuals as the most effective method of managing their health. Peaston was an international recording artist who fought diligently to share his struggle with diabetes to all affected by this illness. His determination to help others control the disease lead to the creation of annual concerts in which he invited physicians to speak during various intervals about prevention and the management of chronic diseases.
This year’s concert will be celebrating the “10th Anniversary of the Distinguished Gents,” featuring special guest and national recording artist, Shirley Murdoch. The concert will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 6:00 pm at the Sun Theatre (located at 711 Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63103). The Distinguished Gents Concert also includes the following performers: Leslie Johnson, Jeff Radford, Jermaine Smith, Pastor Norman Owens, Jr, Pastor Willie Kilpatrick, Pastor Shadrack Robinson, Jan Strickland and Daniel Peaston.
The David Peaston Foundation’s Executive Director, Marilyn Peaston, stated, “It is our most significant way to express support to our community because they deserve our support which eventually becomes a powerful tool of strength and encouragement in the fight toward ultimately managing their health.”
For more information about the Distinguished Gents 10th Anniversary Concert benefiting the David Peaston Foundation call 314-629-7901 or reserve tickets online at www.davidpeastonfoundation.org Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
