“ಹತಾಶೆ (DESPAIR)” (2022)
Medium: Pen and Ink on Mount Board
Dimensions: 20” x 28”
This pen and ink artwork portrays the fore-shortened view of the full anthropomorphic form giving credence to the anguish that has been undergone. The materialistic cubes spilling out of the head also holds symbols of a dove, a syringe, a vase, a perfume bottle and a drooping flower, all metaphors of despair. The pen and ink medium has helped render the form realistically while affording a larger expanse of negative space.
“ಆರಾಮ (COMFORT)” (2022)
Medium: Wax Carving (Sculpture)
Dimensions: 7.5” x 7” x 1.5”
This wax carved sculpture with the cubes emanating from the anthropomorphic forms represents the warmth that one derives from material possessions. The portrayal of three life-sized adult hands points to the physicality of the expression. The wax medium lends itself to work well in both additive and subtractive processes of sculpting, while this particular artwork has been carved realistically.

“ಶೌರ್ಯ (VALOUR)” (2022)
Medium: Pen and Ink on Canvas
Dimensions: 36” x 48”
The anthropomorphic form is larger than life and is supported by a pile of cubes symbolizing how human beings rise above their calling to protect their own. The marginally off-centered form puts focus on the metaphors. Symbolism also exists in the representations of a shield, a sword, a ring, a medal and a badge that show reference to the trait illustrated. The medium of pen and ink on a large expansive canvas lends itself to realistic portrayal of figurative form alongside materialistic rendering of the cubes.
“ಹತಾಶೆ (FRUSTRATION)” (2022)
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Dimensions: 36” x 48”
The large canvas affords representation of multiple figurative forms in various stages of frustration. There is a volatile and dynamic outpouring of pent-up emotion that the forms display. The cubes also explode in different directions. The viewer is hence drawn into the drama of explosive expression. The metaphors of clock, lock, mirror, pencil, broken bottle accentuate the emotion displayed. The acrylic medium affords opaque layering possibilities and this technique facilitated visual portrayal of figures.
“ದುರಾಸೆ (GREED)” (2022)
Medium: Clay Sculpture
Dimensions: 7.5” x 4” x 1.5”
The anthropomorphic form is fragmented and disintegrates into cubes symbolizing how human beings are driven by their greed for material objects. Cubes are used metaphorically to represent human emotions, traits and expressions. Symbolism also exists in the representations of the wheel, a book, a clock, Ferrero Rocher and a key that show physical materialistic acquisitions. The medium of clay lends itself to realistic portrayal of hands and materialistic rendering of the cubes.
COFFEE TABLE DESIGN (2021)
76cm diameter X 50cm height. Oak wood and Resin.
As part of a summer Internship at Lobo & Listone Design & Décor Technical Services LLC, I designed and built a coffee table. The table was digitally constructed and rendered on Shapr3D and then moved to Rhinoceros 3D. The center circle was layered and colored with epoxy resin and the mid layer comprises of tempered glass. This was a month-long process.

HELL-GOYLE (2021)
15in X 15in Clay and acrylic paint on canvas
Using a clay mural technique to create an effect of depth. The protrusions are placed at particular points almost as if the piece was submerged mid canvas. Hell-Goyle takes inspiration from villainous characters all over the Sci-Fi multiverse. Using common features from each to create this scary yet weirdly approachable creature. Hell- Boy was a strong influence on facial proportions. I initially intended to create a more Gargoyle-ish character and hence the name.
