The sun never sets. How long have you been standing upright? How long have you been holding this gun? You realize it’s been years, but cannot place how many.

You black out every five to ten minutes. As you awaken, you hear a fading note of music. This is normal.

With nearly clockwork frequency, dangerous people enter and leave your life. They are usually wearing black. They are also usually the same person, but sometimes they only think they are.

You have been wearing a helmet for as long as you can remember. What does your face look like? You begin to doubt that you even have one.

Your friend dies. Then he is alive again, but he is not the same. He remembers you, but you do not remember him. Not like this.

There is usually something large and empty just beneath your feet. It is almost always waiting for you to enter. It is almost never full of bats.
