"it'd be better them be tired of seeing you there than them be sad seeing you dead, even if I doubt you'll die from it there's always the posibility of an infection and..." She noticed she was rambling and grabbed Arlo's arm with barely concealed care "first time Im glad Sol forced me to bring bandages everywhere..."

"Pfft I guess–" she murmured, rubbing his eyes with their free hand.

Dawn started rummaging through her pockets with her free hand, finding the bandages and unraveling them with help of her teeth before bandaging up Arlo's arm "there, covered up, now. Infirmary"

"Mhm, I'm not really.. sure, uh, where we are...?" they tried, sure, they knew they were in the camp's woods but her sense of direction was thrown off when they got attacked and he wasn't particularly fond of trying to find their own way to the infirmary.

"whatever, I'll take your there, I have to go there too anyways" she muttered, not giving more details before starting to walk off "come on."

"Okay.. sorry." they jog a few paces to catch up.

Dawn rolled her eyes, but making sure they were still following her "dont apologize, weirdo"

They didn't notice she said anything, eyes fixed on his shoes as they walked along side her.

Dawn shrugged and started practicing some signs, she'd go back home soon and she had barely been able to practice her sign languague at camp

She glanced up to check if they could see camp yet, eyes brightening a little at noticing the sign language. 'You know ASL?' they signed after making sure Dawn could see him, a slight smile on their lips. They were also quite glad that at least a few signs could be done with one hand, as they really couldn't be bothered to move their injured arm.

Dawn smiled before signing 'I do, kind of, and so do you apparently'

Arlo nodded enthusiastically, 'Yes! Was my first language' they then paused, looking a bit confused. 'I didn't remember that earlier.'

'how do you not remember your first languague?' she signed light-heartedly with a smirk

"you WHAT." Dawn said outloud before going back go signing 'whatever, we're here.'

They hummed something that sounded like 'I don't know' then nodded.
