Falko has also been mistaken for a butch countless times! It's actually sweet to see how people interpret many of my characters differently, and when they find out my OC's identities they are totally blown away XD

Unfortunately, no! I debated having them call each other by nicknames before, but whenever I did, it just felt superficial for the type of relationship they have.

Suwan and Falko using each other's names are a very important thing to me. Their name represents who they truly are, therefore, it carries a lot of weight.

At the beginning, Suwan knew Falko only as the "stable boy", and would call him that jokingly.

But as they grew closer, Suwan would only call Falko by name.

Suwan's father would also use the "stable boy" title as an insult to undermine Falko's importance, which made Suwan's blood boil.

"He has a name, father." She would reply. It's a small gesture, but one that meant a lot for Falko!

Ever since, Suwan would call Falko by his name only. The name his parents gave him lovingly.

There won't be any other "Falko" in Suwan's life. I feel like giving him a nickname would remove how UNIQUE and essential Falko is for her. There are no replacements for Falko.

As for Suwan; "Your Majesty", "My Liege", "The King", etc are socially acceptable ways to address Suwan, but Falko will be one of the few people (if not the only one) who will talk to, and ABOUT Suwan without using honorifics, which I think are so so important to show their intimacy while also keeping their relationship slightly discreet!

Most information I have on him comes across from artworks I've published instead of written information. I prefer people to see him and INFER about his character instead of simply being told what happened to him! 💕🥹

How have you been able to protect yourself? And what music do you know have been actually safe to use?

Honestly I feel like suing artists over IG music is such a petty thing to do! 😭 I don't make money off my Instagram posts, and I always try my best to not use the ENTIRE song in my posts, sticking to 15-30 seconds is a safe bet, also, my account, despite having huge following, is NOT a business account.

Other than that, I haven't done anything to protect myself regarding that. I feel like the platform should be held accountable if it's offering songs that it doesn't have the license for.

YouTube is pretty good with copyright identification and licensing. The shorts politics are clear, too.

Of course, composers/song-writers SHOULD be credited and paid for their work, but the chances of winning a case for something like this are a bit grim from my point of view because it all comes to the whole platform instead of just one individual.

The first thing a copyright owner should do is contact the "violator" if they wish to have the audio removed from the post altogether and come to an agreement before starting a case in court. I think this situation was blown out of proportion because I hear many different sources saying different things:

Some say this is just something that happened in Germany due to their different laws, others say it's happening to EVERYONE.

It's very muddy for me, so I really can't draw any conclusions. 😭

I feel like if someone uses copyrighted music in their "premium" content that IG offers, (where you subscribe to see exclusive posts and stories) THAT can be a problem.

But other than that, I just cross my fingers and hope to not get in trouble since I don't make money off of it. And Instagram actively encourages you to use music and create reels. It's a very weird situation.

Also- I love music! I feel like sharing music alongside your art is such a wonderful way to connect people! I like to see my work as a way to share my favorite artists' music with the world, and I never claim any song to be mine. If a copyright owner ever contact me to remove a post with a song, I'll immediately do it without second thought. The last thing I want to do is hurt someone else's work or seem like I'm profiting on top of their art.

(Genuinely, you do absolutely amazing work, I was trying to find where you might be posting more of the characters because I do want to know more about them and then stumbled upon the lineup art :D)

LMAOOOO HONESTLY It's mostly because younger me (around 13yo) thought falcons to be golden-ish brown instead of just regular brown. I think kids just interpret things the way they want😂💕 Honest mistake, but one that I particularly enjoy and defend LOL

At that age, I think peregrine falcons just strike me as golden-ish for some reason, especially their beaks. So I went ahead and unapologetically made Falko blond.

Young me really had the guts. Ever since, I have never really changed his design drastically. His nose, hair, eyebrows, and eye colors have always stayed the same. Some people argue his design is a mess, but honestly, I think I make it work? A little bit? 😂😂 I know his black eyebrows create a bit of chaos, but it's not just his design- every character of mine has BLACK eyebrows because I find that to accentuate their expressions. Not a design, but rather a style choice XD
