😍🥰 it's not 100% yet (still need a few pieces of furniture, another book shelf or two, some little rugs...), but this is how things are coming along and we are sooooo happy with the place!

Leafs Reddit has devolved into "OMG THE SJWS" and "WHO CARES? WE ALL SAY DUMB SHIT IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT" and "GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT EH?"

I will wait for the verdict from the league before I claim to know what was said and who officially said it, but IF IT WAS MO? AND IF THAT'S THE WORD HE CHOSE TO USE? No fucking thanks. It's 2019. There is NO PLACE for a word like f*ggot in hockey!!!

The league has set a precedent already. Homophobic slurs result in suspensions.

We're still settling into the new place and work has been absolutely nuts and I honestly have had zero energy to write literally anything.

But I see all of the new followers, and I read every ask and every message in my inbox and every comment on AO3, even if I've been shit at acknowledging/replying!

Everything is finallyyyyy coming together ☺️☺️☺️.

We love the place, and the kitties are finally all settled, too.

Oh man. The move went as well as those things can go, I suppose.

The hard part is unpacking and making the mess of boxes and stuff look like a HOME and not COMPLETE AND UTTER CHAOS.

It's been a process 😅.

As of today, the chaos has all been contained to the office (second bedroom), and that's being left for another time. All the other rooms are more or less sorted out.

Next step, cleaning. Hnnghh. It never ends.

Like, we gave Matts a standing ovation after his video tribute. People had posters celebrating his time with us (as well as those against him leaving). Islanders fans didn’t do that. They booed John’s video tribute, they booed him saluting the crowd. I didn’t see a single poster thanking him for his time there. So like, while I agree that the islanders fans weren’t as bad as lots of people are making them out to be; I don’t think we can say that they aren’t any worse than leafs fans were.

You are 100000% right about all of the above. That's honestly exactly how I feel.

To me, the vulgar jerseys, the throwing things on the ice, the burning stuff in the parking lot... That's the stuff that bothers me. It's classless and obssessive.

The particularly bad Isles fans have been behaving like obsessed ex boyfriends. They have every right to be hurt and to boo, but that's as far as I'm willing to defend them.

I saw a bunch of comments last night about the boos being horrible but IMO, those were the LEAST problematic things. Booing is part of sports culture and always has been. Arena taunts, chants, etc. That's normal.

It CAN be gross, like when shitty fairweather Leafs fans booed Gards for no reason at his own arena??? But otherwise, I respect the Isle fans' rights to booing in particular.

Gah yes.

I'm definitely hoping to be mostly settled in by my days off on Wed and Thurs!
