"My name is John, and yours?"
You say your name and realize that you are no longer anything. You have no name. Whether out of ignorance or foolishness, you give your name to the fairy. Of course, the little trickster steals it. Perhaps one day he will return, if he gets tired of playing with your personality, but until then you are locked in the forest, deprived of desires, aspirations...
The Liechtenstein family, according to legend, has a connection with a fairy who helped the ancestor of the family to find the crystal:
Also, fairies are creatures rather sudden and chaotic. They can easily help you, enrich, give a pot of gold, because it was in their head, or they can steal your personality and fly away to distant, green forests, leaving you only a shell.
It also seems that fairies love to interfere in people's lives, guiding those they like and granting them power and wealth.
John, with his quick-witted and sometimes unexpected nature, seems like a potential candidate for fairyhood. He's probably one of the most sincere characters in the whole game, who honestly says when he's scared and when he's having fun, and despite all the responsibility placed on his young shoulders, he sometimes reaches for simple pleasures like drinking, which I find impressive for a fairy.
If you think a fairy isn't scary enough for Samhain, don't forget that according to some legends, fairies drink blood, cause destruction, and kill babies.
So you'd better not anger the young forest dweller in the picture, treat him with respect, and never tell him your name...
