i will NEVER forgive kishimoto or whoever the fuck worked on Boruto for turning Hinata into a HOUSE WIFE in that show. I know i said i love traditional femininity in a female character in one of my last posts, but i also said that i only love it when it’s in a natural and believable context that flows naturally! her being a housewife would have been TOTALLY fine.....

IF HER WHOLE STORYLINE HADN’T BEEN HER TRYING TO BECOME STRONG TO PROVE TO HER FATHER SHE DESERVED HER TITLE AS CLAN HEIRESS AND TO STAND BESIDE NARUTO AS A STRONG KUNOICHI WHO COULD PROTECT HIM LIKE HE DID HER.

Bro, it literally looks like as SOON as she got to the point where her and Naruto finally had a relationship, they just made her stop giving a FUCK about being a good kunoichi!! she’s not even an active duty ninja anymore y’all, COME ON. AND THEY STILL ENDED UP GIVING THE TITLE OF HYUUGA HEIRESS TO HANABI??? ARE YOU SERIOUS??

i get it, she’s not technically a hyuuga anymore, but through that fact they definitely could have opened a storyline about the connections of clans and the calming of the whole pureblood ‘you can only belong to one clan’ mindsets clans like the hyuuga had!!! Her story is SO unsatisfying to me because of this now, i don’t care what you say. they did all of that god awful development, only to reduce her back to simply a love interest and mother when you KNOW, that if she wanted to she could be those things AND A BADASS KUNOICHI. JUST LOOK AT SAKURA DOING HER THING, AND INO HAVING LIKE 5 JOBS BRO.

even in boruto the women haven’t gotten better, the writers have just started disguising how much they don’t care about them by giving them small amounts of screen time, and letting Sakura have her own fights.
