Parentsâ days were either fun or a right pain in the arse. As a year one teacher, Lily didnât have much to talk about with most parents and in her mind that was all well and fine. Some parents were all smile and laughs and let you say your part quickly and leave. Those were her favourites to deal with. Others liked to sit and talk and talk and talk. And they could talk about everything and anything. Their child was their absolute pride and joy and they made sure that the world knew about their every achievement. That was nice and all, but Lily wasnât particularly keen on sitting down, smiling and nodding at the animated couple in front of her for the past twenty minutes or so. Right now they were talking about how neat their daughterâs handwriting was for a five year old. She wanted to bash her head into the desk.
Finally- finally- they stood up. âTime sure flies,â the man laughed, helping his wife out of her chair. âEmily has piano classes at four.â
âSheâs such a lovely pianist,â the mother cooed, pinching her daughterâs cheeks. Lily kept on smiling and nodding. Emily gave her a toothy grin.
âWe must be going. Itâs been a pleasure Miss Evans,â he said, sticking out his hand for her to shake. âI hope we can do this soon again.â
Oh god I hope not, Lily frantically thought, even as she continued to smile and shook each of the parentsâ hands. âIt has,â she lied.
A few more pleasantries were exchanged amongst them as they headed towards the door. Lily continued to wave right until the sole of Emilyâs pink shoes disappeared. She immediately slumped against the desk, delicately pinching the bridge of her nose as she repeatedly hit her head against the wooden surface.
The sound of the chair scraping against the linoleum classroom floor a few seconds later caused her to snap back up. A man with wildly messy hair was sitting across the desk from her, grinning widely. He was dressed in an old t shirt of a band that Lily used to love, dark jeans and converse, seeming to be no older than her twenty five years.
âYou must be Harryâs dad,â she said immediately, stretching a hand across to shake with his. A light blush decorated her cheeks as she realised that this man had just walked in on her banging her head against the desk. He seemed to realise so as well as he smirked a bit. âI can tell by the hair.â

In about a week and a half Iâll be one year sh free and for what? Covid is still a thing, I have a horrible relationship with food, Iâm still mentally ill, and while I donât deal with my emotions in an unhealthy way, I donât deal with them in a particularly healthy way either. And Iâm so ashamed to talk about any of it.

I have this headcanon in which Sirius ran away from home during the summer between his 5th and 6th year.
After leaving Grimmauld Place, Sirius met Regulus only at Hogwarts, as soon as the new school year began.
It probably was not a good reunion.
Sorry for the feels, the tears and angst postâŚâŚ
This is the first time I post something like this and Iâm a bit nervousâŚ.iâm not really satisfiedâŚ.but better than nothing, no? :)
it would be nice to do a whole comic one day o(âĽďšâĽ)o

Requested by Anon: Do you take requests for regulus? đ (if you donât itâs fine you can ignore this) If so, can i please request a regulus x reader where sirius notices that his usually quiet brother has been looking abnormal happy lately? So sirius decides to investigate on what, or who caused his change of mood. He wouldnât have suspected the reader of all people, as sheâs part of the marauders.

âWhy are you smiling?â Sirius asks his brother, Regulus. Heâd been acting weird for nearly two weeks now and Sirius has noticed. Heâd been smiling, laughing and weirdest of all, he didnât give off the feeling of depression anymore? Why?
âAm I not allowed to smile?â He asks, aggressively.
âYou never smile,â Sirius says accusingly.
âWell youâd never see it. I donât smile around you,â Regulus fires back and walks away. Actually he storms away, in search of you. Why was Sirius questioning him? What did it matter to him? He never mattered to him before.
Sirius couldnât understand it. What was making him so happy? Usually he would storm around, all doom and gloom. Now it actually seems like he wanted to be alive. He was smiling. Actually smiling. And he wanted to know why. So there in came the difficult task of sneaking into the Slytherin Common Room and then into his dorm. It may have been difficult, but heâd done it before.
Once he was in, he searched everywhere. In every drawer, behind each piece of furniture, underneath the bed, but nothing. Wait⌠he ran back over to the bed and shoved his hand in the pillow case. Heâd found something. He pulled it out and saw that it was a letter addressed to regulus.
Dear Reg,
I canât wait to see you after the break. Iâve been missing you these two weeks. Your letters are simply not enough, I want to hear you speak the words on the paper you send to me. I miss your voice.
Yours always,
Y/n
Y/n?! Siriusâ friend y/n? The girl whoâd been part of the marauders since theyâd met her in their third year? Absolutely not. Sirius was going to put a stop to this. How could y/n do this? Fool around with his brother behind his back, behind all of their backs? His little brother?! He knew you were in the same year as Reg, but still, they never saw you as that. If anything they saw you as older than them. You were very mature, more than they were anyway.
He went looking for James, to enlist his help in this, whatever it was. He finally found him in the library with Lily. The last place he looked, of course.
âMate, can I talk to you for a second?â He asks, not wanting to disturb anything.
âYeah sure,â he says, getting up from his seat. Sirius leads him out of the library, just in front of the entrance.
âOkay so you know how Iâve been telling you that Reg has been acting weird, and abnormally happy?â Sirius asks before telling him why.
âYeah, why?â James replies with his own question.
âItâs y/n, thatâs why heâs been so happy. Bloody y/n,â Sirius grumbles.
âWhat?! Y/n? Like our y/nâ? James asks, just as shocked as Siriusbhad initially been. Y/n has been friends with them for nearly three years now, why wouldnât she say anything? Thatâs what it meant to be part of the marauders, to trust each other. Sirius just raised his eyebrows in response.
âSo what are you thinking?â James asked, assuming he was thinking something or he wouldnât have pulled him away from one of Lilyâs intense study sessions.
âWeâre going to catch them in the act! They have to meet up sometime and we just have to watch the two of them.â
âOkay yeah,â James agrees.
A few days had passed watching Regulus and Y/n but nothing had happened. Y/n had been with them almost every second of the day, like always. How had they missed it? Nothing seemed to be different with her. But it had to have been.
You were all sitting in the common room, talking whilst doing their own thing at the same time. Remus was studying, as was Lily and you were reading. Sirius and James were talking in hushed voices to each other but you paid no mind. You glanced at your watch and noticed the time. You were late. How could you have let the time slip away like this? You jumped up from your seat and rushed to the dorm room. You slipped on some shoes and grabbed your coat on the way out.
âY/n, where are you going?â James asked, perking up.
âI forgot to tend to one of the plants in the greenhouse. If I donât, Professor Sprout will go mad,â you laugh nervously. It was the perfect excuse, they all knew that you helped Professor Sprout for extra credit. But that didnât mean you werenât nervous. What if they did find out? Sirius would murder you and the rest of them would help bury the body. They would all hate you.
âRight,â James says, quirking an eyebrow suspiciously.
Sirius and James looked at each other knowingly and both of them got up and began to follow you. They didnât care about the cold, they were wearing shoes and that was enough.
âWell where are you two going?â Remus asks.
âWeâre hungry,â Sirius replies. It wasnât a lie, he was hungry but thatâs not exactly where they were going.
At first, it actually seemed as if you were going to the greenhouses, and it worried James and Sirius. What if they were following you for nothing? Maybe they should just trust you. As doubt was beginning to set in, you took a turn. You werenât going to greenhouses. You were headed down to the lake. James and Sirius followed closely behind, but far enough away so that you wouldnât see them. You were busted.
You headed down to the lake at quite a speed, you didnât want Regulus to think youâd forgotten about him. As you were walking, you pulled your gloves and hat from your pockets and slipped them on. But when you got there, he was nowhere to be seen. You hoped he hadnât left, thinking you werenât coming.
âReg?â You whisper loudly. But nothing. So you whisper again. As youâre about to do it for a third time, someone comes up from behind you and pulls your hat from your head. You turn around with a squeal.
âOh my god, Reg! You scared me!â You scold him. He just laughs and takes you in his arms.
âI missed you,â he says, breathing in your scent. The familiar scent of the raspberry shampoo you used and your floral perfume.
âI missed you too,â you say, melting into his warm embrace. He places your hat back on your head and you smile up to him, scrunching your nose.
âI thought you werenât coming,â he says, his smile faltering. You look up to him and take him in.
âOf course I was, I just lost track of time. I was reading,â you admit, blushing a little.
âOh, you and your books. Should I be jealous?â He teases, smile returning.
âNo not all,â you say, bringing his lips to yours in a sweet kiss. His hands rest at your waist and yours cup his jaw.
âYeah,â he whispers, pulling away, âIâve really missed you.â
You giggle and steal another kiss from him before pulling him down to the grass. You look towards the sky and smile. It was so beautiful. The stars, the moon, him. He extended his arm out for you and snuggled in. You both began pointing at stars and laughing together. He pulled your hat down over your eyes and laughed as he did so.
âHey!â You shout as you bring it back up. You roll over and place your hands over his eyes so he canât see but he grabs your wrists and flips you over, earning another squeal. He kisses you again, still holding your wrists above your head. His tongue ghosts over your lower lip, asking permission, and you let him in. You part your lips and your tongues dance together. But he pulls away, resting his forehead on yours, breathless.
âMerlin, I missed you so much,â he whispers.
âYou keep saying that,â you smirk.
âBecause itâs true,â he smiles, taking his place beside you again and pulling you in.
Sirius could hear you and Regulus laughing from the tree he and James were hiding behind. He hadnât heard his brother laugh in months. And this was a genuine laugh. He looked... genuinely happy.
âWhat are we waiting for? Arenât we gonna, you know, catch them in the act?âJames asks, looking at Sirius with a confused expression
âNah mate, leave them be,â he says, turning away.
Who was Sirius to ruin the happiness his brother had found? Regulus was so unused to happiness, if heâd found you, and that's what you brought him, then he wouldnât stand in the way. He loved you, and he loved his brother, so heâd love you together. It may take some getting used to, but for them, he could do it. As for not being told, he expected it was because of the fear of him having the very reaction heâd had to begin with; they were right. He understood, and when the two of you were ready, heâd accept you with an open mind and an open heart.
