I’m starved for connection, not attention.

I can’t stand it to think my life is going so fast and I’m not really living it.

Sit down. Be still. Try to white out the noise that exists around you, and focus on what lies within. Do not become distracted. Do not allow yourself to stray. There is a flame within you, and it my dear, knows the way.

Mental pain is less dramatic than physical pain, but it is more common and also more hard to bear. The frequent attempt to conceal mental pain increases the burden: it is easier to say My tooth is aching than to say My heart is broken.

Step into your fears. Feel them. Endure them. Battle through them. However, they are no match for your courage. They don’t stand a chance against your undying strength. You are a million times more powerful than them. Step into your fears. But, don’t allow for them to overcome you, for you are the master of your life.

Try not to worry too much about who is currently in your life. Those who are meant to be there will remain, and those who are not will come and go. It is absolutely wonderful to keep connections with others, however don’t go too far out of your way to rekindle a relationship that simply can not stay ignited. Treasure those who are closest to you, treasure those you love, and treasure yourself.

It’s alright if you’re still searching for yourself. It’s okay if you have yet to find your big life’s purpose. The important thing is that you haven’t stopped looking.

Not everything in your life has to make sense right now. It’s okay if you don’t know exactly what your purpose is. It’s cool to take your time, try new things, make mistakes, and laugh them off. Just enjoy the process. You’ll figure it out one piece at a time; just be patient with yourself, and keep going at the right pace.
