Name: Jacapo “Jack” Reyes-Murphy

Gender: Male

General Appearance: A literal perfect mix of Raven and Murphy. He has Murphy’s facial structure, eye color, jawline, and mouth. He got Raven’s hair color and nose. His skin color is between Raven’s tan and Murphy’s pale. Both his parents have slender/slim builds, so he’s scrawny. Even when he does fill out, he’s still going to be on the lankier side. Not very tall either. 

Personality: He has Raven’s genius, fiery temper, independence, hero complex, and bluntness with Murphy’s dry wit, snark, survival skills, and sarcasm. He’s very prideful, dismissive, and stubborn. Extremely stubborn. An example of this is when he found out where meat and dairy came from. He educated himself on the horrors behind the animal industries and became a vegan, refusing to eat anything that comes from animals. Anytime he catches anyone in their family eating/drinking non-vegan products, he likes to remind them exactly where it came from in gorey detail. His picky eating has made them change their own diets in order to help support their son and his cause.

Special Talents: Genius level IQ, Activism, Leadership skills.

Who they like better: He loves both his parents, but Murphy is easier to talk to and more open minded than Raven at times. 

Who they take after more: Raven. He has her temper, her stubbornness, her arrogance, and her pride. One thing that always catches Raven’s attention is his inflections are exactly like Murphy’s. 

Personal Headcanon: He’s the second child, having four siblings in total. He also takes politics extremely seriously. While having a very arrogant attitude, he hates seeing the less fortunate getting taken advantage of and will always call it out.  He’s also been trying to steal Raven’s coffee since he was a baby. She has a picture of him as a baby covered in coffee grounds because he knocked it off the counter as a toddler. He was smart enough to know that coffee comes from it but still small enough not to understand shoving a handful of it into your mouth is a bad idea. It’s one of her favorite pictures of him. He also idolizes @brightmcnd​ His name is a tribute to Jacapo Sinclair.

She’s not a victim. Not an easy one at least. Johns been doing this for… well, frankly, for years. His first kill was when he was 16, and he’d done at least twice a year since. It’s an itch under his skin, difficult to be ignored. The longer he’s tried to go, the worse it seemed to poison him. Long ago, he gave up the illusion of a normal life. This disease will not allow him one. The need to kill is as inherently engrained in him as the need to breathe. 

This one is different, though. Where Johns prior kills were perhaps a week of work, he’s been on this one for a month. She is smart, skilled, and strong. Her security system alone forces Murphy to watch his every step, whilst simultaneously watching hers. 

The thought of letting her go had come and gone, his fascination with her too strong to forget or push aside. Raven Reyes has become a challenge. And it has been so long since he’d been presented one. 

On this day, he’d managed to get into her building, into her apartment, and now he waits. The shadows mold to him like a second skin, welcoming their kind as he’s coated in sin. He melts right into them. Adrenaline pounds in his veins, noting the time and awaiting the doorknob to turn. She should be here any minute.

It’s because of these survival instincts that he quells the urge to jump out at her from the start. She’s smart too, and with the warning bells going off in his head, he knows there’s something, likely a weapon, waiting in hand. 

Not yet. 

He’ll wait, stick to the shadows. He can see her walk in, see the tension in the curve of her spine. Ah. He was right. She’s on the alert, and she’ll be much harder to take down that way. He needs to let her relax. Give her time. 

When that sharp whistle sounds, he barely has a moment to get to his feet before both boys are tugging his hands. It’s rare to see them getting along, so it warms his heart as a gift on its own. When John comes down, he’s still in his soft and worn in sweats and a t-shirt, hair a mess and scruff on his face. Thankfully, he knows Raven doesn’t mind. 

Once he’s down, he returns her embrace and morning kiss with a curious hum. Normally, he would give her some side eye for sullying his kitchen. This is too sweet though, and the French toast actually looks edible. He keeps an arm around her as he looks, lips tipping to one side in his own special hybrid of a smirk and a smile. 

“Thanks, Rey.” He turns, landing another kiss borne of appreciation. It really does mean a lot to him, and he’s sure she knows that. She knows him well. “I’m impressed. It smells good.” 

Jace is already climbing into his seat, excited.
