Hey guys, on the topic of my previous post and a post I made a while back ago, in case my idea for a Vivziepop styled Monster High series doesn't ultimately become a reality, I do wanna talk to you guys about all the writing I've put into it by telling you about its official pairings. I've been continuing to develop this more, so I have more to share with you guys. So much in fact, I can't tell you guys about it all in one post. So here's all the pairings in this version of Monster High that are canon in some way for my first post on this subject.
Clawd Wolf x Draculaura: Obliviously I'd keep this pairing, it's iconic and it works perfectly. Not to mention, in this series, this is the primary couple we start out with. And it's perfect.
Clawdeen Wolf x Rochelle Goyle: This is one of the main lgbtq pairings in the series. The story of Clawdeen and Rochelle began during their first year at Monster High. At first, they were simply friends, but Clawdeen began to notice that she was attracted to Rochelle just as much as she had been attracted to her previous boyfriends, which she initially found to be strange. So she kept it a secret, but Rochelle quickly began to realize that there was something there. She talked to Clawdeen about it, told her that it's okay to be attracted to girls, and confirmed that she didn't mind dating Clawdeen. This led to Clawdeen coming out as bisexual, and officially starting a relationship with Rochelle. They ultimately ended their relationship after dating for a bit, as they agreed they were better as friends. Then they went through a peaceful breakup, rekindled their friendship, and were best friends for a long time. However, long after Clawdeen and Cleo peacefully ended their relationship, and the two found themselves close to each other, Clawdeen and Rochelle realized they still had feelings for each other. This leads to a beautiful scene where the two agree that if they're gonna go against their promise, they're gonna make sure it's true love pulling them back to each other and not anything toxic. Hints, they soon rekindle their relationship, and have been together ever since.
Lagoona Blue x Jinafire Long: Personally, I find this pairing to be massively underrated, hints why I made it canon in this version of the series. Plus, it works really well here. Lagoona and Jinafire were good friends during their first year in high school, but were later unknowingly set up on a blind date, after realizing that they decided to go along with it, with it at worst, being an opportunity to hang out, and at best, a potential romance could develop between them. The date ends with Lagoona taking a swim in the ocean, but Jinafire is hesitant to join her due to being afraid of water, having almost drowned in her youth. Lagoona then decides to teach Jinafire how to swim in a manner that allows them to go at a slow pace, and allows Jinafire to learn at a speed that she's comfortable with. This stretches over several days, with Jinafire at first holding onto Lagoona while in the water, putting her trust in her, and Lagoona eventually giving Jinafire a traditional Australian wristband to act as a sort of physical manifestation of Lagoona that she can have on her at all times. This makes her comfortable enough to swim by herself. However the two had spent a lot of time together at that point, and they ultimately have to except the fact that a romance developed between them, and leading to them officially becoming a couple. Plus there's the whole Fire and Water thing.
Clawdeen Wolf x Cleo De Nile: This is the first on-screen pairing featuring Clawdeen, and is a really interesting part of the series beginning. You see, during Frankie's first few days, she's bullied by Cleo for being the clumsy new girl. She later tells Clawdeen about it, and she tells Frankie she'll handle it, and handle it she does. She kinda already had eyes for Cleo, due to her bisexuality, as well her animal instincts, and so she decided to sweep Cleo off her feet and take her for herself. After all, her breakup with Deuce is the reason she's bitter to begin with. However, she tells Cleo that if she truly wants her, she has to learn to get along with Frankie. Impressed by Clawdeen's confidence and the beautiful attention she got from her, Cleo agrees. However, Cleo later realizes that this relationship is a lot deeper than she expected, as Clawdeen doesn't care about any of the drama that Cleo has around her, nor her royal status. She genuinely just loves her for who she is. This causes Cleo to lighten up quite a bit, it also gives Cleo a chance to date someone outside of royalty. Clawdeen essentially becomes her escape from the royal needs, and someone she truly loves. Cleo later decides that in fact, Clawdeen is actually too good for her, and she decides to end their relationship on a positive note, saying that Clawdeen deserves someone just right for her, and thanking her for the great time they had while they were dating. Also, there's a moment in this series that is about Clawdeen and Cleo finding out about an alternate reality where the two of them actually stayed together, and eventually had a daughter named Lyra De Nile.
Cleo De Nile x Toralei Stripe: A while after Clawdeen and Cleo part ways, Cleo is being her typical self, when suddenly Toralei is introduced. She, being a hardcore lesbian, immediately starts hitting on Cleo, which causes Cleo to have an existential crisis. She admittedly loves cats, and can't deny that her time with Clawdeen was great, but she's always believed the one who's truly for her is a guy. But then, in comes this confident, strong, beautiful werecat who absolutely makes Cleo's heart race. It takes a while for Cleo to accept her feelings for Toralei, but when she does, it's one of the most beautiful lesbian pairings you've ever seen, often riding with her on her motorcycle (nicknamed Skidmark) in classic biker couple fashion with Cleo having her arms wrapped tightly around Toralei's waist, and her head resting against her back. Toralei absolutely makes Cleo realize she likes girls, and while she and Clawdeen absolutely hate each other, they agree to try to get along for Cleo. Clawdeen knowing that Toralei is Cleo's happiness, and Toralei knowing that Clawdeen is her best friend. Cleo ends up becoming crucial to Toralei, and eventually causes her to become a neutral individual.
Cleo De Nile x Deuce Gorgon: A technically canon ship in this universe, and a critical one to include in Monster High. However, I personally think other Cleo ships are better due to the storytelling possibilities. Hints why I kept their breakup from G3.
Clawdeen Wolf x Kieran Valentine: I've seen some pairings featuring Clawdeen with a vampire oc, and I quite like the concept of it, so I decided to reference it with this pairing. This pairing is technically canon, and was the first relationship Clawdeen ever had. However, her relationship with Valentine was short-lived due to him becoming a mobster. As she wasn't about that. This caused Valentine to not believe in love and hate Clawdeen. Then however, the two met each other again when Valentine came to New Salem Massachusetts to assassinate the leader of a werewolf supremacy group (basically a Neo Nazi group). Now initially, the two were at each other's throats, but while Valentine was spending time with Spelldon, he began to realize that the reason Clawdeen broke up with him was his own fault. He let a bad decision for what he wanted to do for money compromise his love life. This, along with him realizing he does still believe in love makes him regret his decisions. Ultimately, he kills the leader of this group himself, ending their attempts to kill Draculaura and her friends, but also himself being arrested on the scene by police. He's put on trial for Mafia activity, and during this trial, not only does he show a lot of remorse, especially twords Clawdeen, but his words have a profound effect on her. Clawdeen ultimately speaks up to say that Valentine is still a best friend of hers, which he confirms as well. It's an emotional moment, made even more heartwarming when Clawdeen asks the judge if she can give Valentine a hug before he goes to prison, leading to a friendly hug between the two. Valentine ultimately gets 10 years in prison knocked down to five, and is ultimately released after two on parole due to overcrowding at the prison, and he subsequently retires from the Mafia, and reconnects with Clawdeen, becoming one of her closest friends.
Kieran Valentine x Spelldon Cauldronello: During his time in New Salem, Valentine ends up spending a lot of time with Spelldon. This ultimately leads to a romance developing between them, in addition to what I mentioned earlier with Clawdeen. Valentine himself was gay, and helped Valentine come out as gay as well. Hints, not too long after getting out of prison, Valentine immediately comes back to Spelldon, wanting to spend the rest of his life with his boyfriend. They're still together to this day, and will likely never break up.
Hexiciah Steam x Nora Bloodgood: This Monster High series has a couple of adult character pairings, and this one is easily the most prominent, and the most important. You see, Bloodgood is a single woman who has never married, and Hexiciah is a single man who has never married, yet both have wanted to start a family at some point. That's one of the reasons why Hexiciah made Robecca, but he's always kinda wanted to let her have a mom. And when he began to realize that he and Bloodgood had chemistry, he couldn't help but talk to her about it. After dating for a bit, the two decided to tell Robecca about their relationship, and they asked her if she'd like Bloodgood to be her mom, which she immediately said yes to. It's later stated that the two got married, officially making Robecca Bloodgoods daughter, and the family whole.
Clawdeen Wolf x Zeather Panthera: Clawdeen Wolf paired with a werecat oc of mine. This was Clawdeen's longest and most important relationship until at least Cleo, mainly because she and Zeather got along so well. Heck, Zeather suspected she was bisexual, and he really didn't care about it. Not to mention, he later willingly gives up Clawdeen to find her true love.
