I want lemon orzo

Of course, if I just copy-pasted monsters from Greek mythology into the campaign that would be boring, because chances are my players would know which exact niche way to kill them. So I’ve tweaked them all to the point where my players will think they’ve won a big, tiring fight. Only to be very, very sorely mistaken.

Like we know at this point that Kris is a good piano player but we piss him off so much that he plinks the piano out of spite.

Playing Chapter 1 again after finishing chapter 4 just hits SO DIFFERENT.

Like-we know now that whatever the ending of the prophecy is, it’s BAD. And Ralsei’s mental breakdown at the end of 4 broke me.

But what breaks me more is seeing how hard Ralsei tries at the beginning of chapter 1. When he tries so desperately to stop Susie from fighting the enemies, he’s literally trying to save her from what seems like…herself.

And furthermore, it feels like Ralsei knows at the very beginning what we start to see as the story progresses: that Susie isn’t scary and destructive by nature, and she just needed the right people to help her see that. Which is probably another reason Ralsei was trying so hard.

But no matter how many enemies you spare, no matter what lengths you go to be the most pacifist heroes you can, in the end it doesn’t change anything. The prophecy is unchanging. And I think deep down Ralsei knew that would be the case.

So going back to the very beginning and seeing Ralsei try-just try to change his fate by convincing Susie not to beat the shit out of the playing cards, it kinda broke me a bit. Seeing how much he cared, even when nobody else did.
