lucasgeniza turned 5 today!

hi.  first, i would like to thank everyone who's taken their time to listen to any of the songs i released this month.  it's been erratic  yet exciting, and despite the randomness it's been awesome to share with you guys once again.  before this gets too long, i'll give a brief background of what this  challenge was meant for.

as early as 2010, there were songs just collecting dust.  the more prominent tracks i focused on were files from 2013 during the ihrbki days.  if you don't know what  ihrbki is don't worry about it.  point is, i was stoked to work on these again and share them with you guys.  each track possessed an element of nostalgia, each  encompassing stories of different emotions from the past couple of years:  pride, excitement, loneliness, frustration, and uncertainty.  i've felt the need to engage  in this activity not old to expand my craft as a producer and songwriter,  but to also purge all the backed up ideas that have been kept inside for so long.

the samples used throughout the tape are old studio sessions in 2013.  old projects that were worked on with friends, just taking up memory on my computer.  i decided  to experiment with these files regardless of their irrelevance and obsolete meaning.  aesthetically, i wanted to convey confusion and reflection with these files from  a faded period of time.  personally, the different samples were emotionally driving.  it brought back so many memories of such bright times that i always think about.

long story short; it's been real to share my little creations with you.  as 2015 continues, i hope to bring you guys some quality things; not only in music, but in  creation in general. i'm going to be more inactive, but i'll be behind the scenes.  you might run into me at a cafe or something.  i just nee-ta focus.
