In Regards to the Sheer Amount of Events within the JJBA Askblog Community
I think it is time we look at the events and realise we may need to slow down. We have had months of back-to-back events which causes stress of participation and alienation from those within and outside the community. I know you like to redesign and reimagine your muses, but the sheer amount of events is getting out of hand.
We should focus less on events and more one small individual things like magic anons. There is fun to be had in it and people don’t feel pressured or alienated by it. You get to be creative and you still get those fun asks, but usually for a shorter amount of time.
I don’t want anyone to feel guilty for making events. I have made events and participated in events during these intense past months. But I think we can agree that people are getting tuckered out. So please, if you are thinking about making an event, please consider how many events are going on around it and whether or not it is well planned and well timed.
This is not a callout against any singular event nor anyone who makes them. I have made and event in recent time, not realizing how congested the timing was and I honestly regret making it for not only did I stress and alienate myself, but also others. So please, learn from my mistakes. I want people to feel welcome in this community and the events, though fun as they may be, are not doing the community justice.
