Wednesday 15th October - Serpentine Slacker Gallery
From Covent Garden we walked across London, met Nan at Victoria coach station, had some late breakfast, then walked to Hyde park to see the Serpentine pavilion. On our way we passed the Serpentine Slacker Gallery with it's new Zaha Hadid extension so went over to have a closer look. I'm not exactly Zaha's biggest fan but something about this little addition to the older building seemed to work for me. We were fairly short on time so only had a quick run through the exhibition in the gallery which was quite interesting with its combination of changing light and sound effects but did have a unavoidable whiff of contemporary pretentious bullshit to it.
