the thing i love about the folklore cover and art is that the last time we had such a heavy black and white theme was reputation where she was telling a completely different story and was in the beginning stages of a relationship she hoped beyond hopes would last and now we’re back in the black and white but it’s a softer black and white and the whole aesthetic represents such clarity, peace (which is literally a song on the album), and calmness in taylor’s life (+ her relationship has flourished and thrived since) and that’s just a change i am so glad she got to experience and live through
