It took a moment for Vanitas to wake, but when he did he did so with a gasp, eyes wide. The moment he realized Xehanort was there, though, he pushed himself up quickly, wrapping his arms around him. He was here, they were both safe, Xemnas was⌠gone⌠.
âS-sorry⌠.â He still held on, though, just for a while. âI just⌠dreamed I was back there again, andâŚ. .â He swallowed, shaking his head. Slowly, he let go of Xehanort, looking down at the blanket. It hadnât gotten any better⌠.
He shook his head, biting his lip. âIâm fine, now.â It wasnât totally true, and he probably wouldnât be able to get any more sleep tonight⌠but he didnât need Xehanort worrying about him.
He gasped, just softly, eyes just barely widening as Vanitas embraced him. It shouldnât have been too unexpected, with how scared and traumatized the other still clearly was, but just the feeling of his amrs wrapped around him, clinging to him, holding him close...it made him feel--
âThe doctor said this could happen.â He murmured, arms awkwardly at his sides as if he was debating hugging Vanitas back. But before he could do such a silly, self indulgant, thing, Vanitas pulled away, shaking his head. âHe said it was likely, even. You shouldnât apologize.â
He stood up, going into the bathroom adajcent to his bedroom, fumbling through the cabinent there. The doctor had given him some sort of medicine, to help with dreamless sleep...
âHere.â He read the label carefully, getting a cup of cold water and handing two pills to Vanitas. âThis will help you sleep. The doctor gave you this, remember?â
