You, frankly, don't know. You've just been following corridors and rooms that no longer exist, exploring through your time corroded memories. That is, after all, your role.

Even though it is night, you still feel that twisting pain of disobeying the Professor. You should be in your room. Your ability should not be just yours to use.

The rift between you and everyone else, one that only the Professor cares about, leaves you cold.

You walk around aimlessly at first, just exploring... but then, you recall. You have to find and follow Sora.

YUGO: Eating and exploring are up there. Sometimes Rin-rin shows up with boxes of scrap materials and we get to try and MAKE stuff. It's the best.

YUZU has a small smile to give once she realizes it's you and not YUGO.

It's 2 AM and Ruri is waiting, patiently, in Sora's room. She isn't like Rin, who both needs to go through with this and hates the price that must be paid for her trial.

No, she is more patient, deliberate in what she says and does.

But she does agree with Rin in one thing: They are being horrible friends.

Certain things must be secured at all costs and Sora, with his web of influence, can make it all work out.

His methods make her shudder, but she refuses to look away. Not when she has a memory of that day.

Rain, the smell of cotton candy, his eyes wild with a well placed revenge.

When this is finally over, she thinks, she will apologize. Apologize and hug him tight, because none of this should have ever happened.

But now he shows up at the door, lifting an eyebrow at his visitor.

"You don't need to be worrying so much, you know. I'm tougher than that."

"I can't help but come look at you. It is the least I can do. Witness it."

Her big brother, Shun, wouldn't have approved of her getting tangled with Sora and the North Wing. Too dangerous, he would say.

YUTO: I do, but explaining them and why they exist... It's not something for me to do to Yuya. It would, throw things off.

YUTO: If he wants to know, he'll have to look for the answers himself. The best I can do to help is use my knife to access the B-Side to Sora's room, the same I can do for anyone else's.

YUTO: Maybe it isn't obvious but... all of us are just trying to protect him, in our own ways. From the Facility, the Akabas, the nameless girl... the memories from before we were four.

SORA seems to be talking to a member of staff. Although he's a cute as ever, there's something off about his expression.

YUYA: Hi! Uh-

SORA: Busy now, Yuya. SP_STAFF_03: Speak of the devil. SORA: You shoosh. Rule two: Don't talk to my friends like that.

Rule? Somehow it seems like knowledge you should have. Someone else is holding memories from you, again. YUYA: If that's rule two, what's rule one? He grins. SORA: That I'm the cutest one in this whooole facility~ SP_STAFF_03: That won't be for long. You are growing. Time is almost out for you. SORA: Why do I bother with you? SP_STAFF_03: Who else is going to go along with your insane requests? SORA: A boy needs his treats. You don't really understand what they are talking about. Truthfully, this isn't an unusual exchange. Sora often spends the morning talking to staff in order to keep on top of things. He's really reliable, but out of everyone you know, he's the one that is most fiercely guarding a secret. YUYA: Are you, uh... plotting something? SORA: YES, Yuya, I am. Plotting lots and lots of terrible things~ Now, really, I'm busy here. SP_STAFF_03: Don't wanna get tangled on your spooky bullshit, kid.

YUYA: He just comes whenever he wants, acting so high and mighty and detached... it's like he sees us as beneath him.

YUYA: Plus, Ray acts weird around him... clinging for dear life while wearing this expression... something really, really empty. It's heartbreaking.

YUYA: AND, I've heard him refer to Yuri as the Professor's "pet project" and I can't just brush that off!

YUGO: YO Kaito.
