I didn’t want her wand to be similar to Sebastian just because they are twins and both very talented. I do think they have quite. A few differences which tell us their own personalities traits. Phoenix gives Anne survival, rebirth, illness, grief, and the possibility of becoming whole again. Anne is adaptable and emotionally alive. She has suffered, but is not fixed in one state forever which is why fairly bendy flexibility works well. The length is good, string but not huge. The redwood is just beautiful, it has survivor. Energy, falls on its feet, turns disaster into advantage. Feels right for someone who despite of her tragedy, still has a life beyond the pain.

I think Amit for me was the hardest but I decided going for phoenix. It gives him range, rarity, and hidden potential. Amit may not be naturally brave in the was Sebastian or Natty are, but phoenix feather suggests that under all that nervousness, there is something special in him: a flexible mind, magical depth, and the ability to surprise people when it matters. The short length fits because his magic is not dramatic or helming, it’s precise, careful and clean. He’s probably better at anything that requires concentration rather than raw aggression. He is also adaptable and open minded, he listens, learns and can be scared but not closed off. He might not go for it at first but eventually would dare to go out of the box. Walnut fits his intelligence, curiosity and academic mind. It is for inventors, thinkers, and people with unusual mental range. He is thoughtful, observant and genuinely intellectually gifted.

I wanted to create an interesting wand that would portrait the Leander we see and also the one that hides beneath all that arrogance. Which is why I gave his wand a shirt length. He doesn’t have the same natural force as Sebastian or Andrea. His magic feels more limited, nervous, or self conscious. Brittle is harsh, but I think it exposes his insecurity. He wants to seem brave, but he is emotionally fragile and easily embarrassed. Unicorn works because he isn’t dark, maybe annoying but not cruel. Laurel is an interesting pick because it reflects what he wants: glory, recognition, honor. But paired with unicorn, brittle flexibility, and a shorter length, it becomes nuanced. He wants to be heroic, but he is not fully there yet.

I always love going in depth with Imelda, I think she is one of the most underrated characters and I personally love her. Dragon is perfect for her competitiveness, her power, sharpness and intensity. The stiff flexibility fits her pride and self control, she is not easily influenced. Also a long length works because she has presence and ambition. Aspen is associated with duelists and strong minded people. It has elegance, speed and precision.

I think phoenix works well for her. She has grief, courage, rebirth, and moral fire. It also gives her a heroic quality without making her aggressive. Slightly yielding makes sense to me because she is principled, but not rigid. She can change, she can heal, she can listen. I gave her a short length because I feel her magic is controlled, elegant and precise rather than showy. Alder wood is helpful, loyal and suited to advanced magic. It feels compassionate but powerful. It also fits her as someone who acts because she believes it’s right.

I personally loved making this one. Unicorn is perfect, she’s loyal, pure hearted and resistant to darkness. Also the solid flexibility shows how she seems soft, but her values are immovable. The length is good, strong but not overly dramatic. The English oak feels made for her: loyalty, courage, intuition, and natural magic. It also has creature/nature affinity that suits her better than almost any other wood.

The unicorn core tells us that underneath all the chaos, he is warmhearted and loyal. He is not dark, he’s just reckless, curious, and too energetic for his own good. The whippy flexibility also tells us he’s quick, reactive, lively and chaotic, just like the length works well with his big personality energy. I love dogwood for him because it’s playful, mischievous, clever, and chaotic. It is basically him in wand form.

A shorter wand fits Ominis because his magic feels precise, controlled, restrained, and inward. Rigid also works because he has strong moral boundaries and resists being reshaped by his family. I chose unicorn hair as a core because of his defining trait is moral resistance. He comes from darkness and refuses if. Unicorn hair would make his wand feel like a quiet rebellion against the Gaunts. The cedar wood is perceptive, loyal and dangerous when loved ones are threatened. It fits his blindness beautifully because cedar is not about obvious sight; it’s about deep perception.

Phœnix for her fits the ancient magic, rebirth, destiny, survival, and the fact that she keeps becoming something new after every rupture. The flexibility tells us that she’s adaptable but not weak. She bends, learns, changes, but does not lose herself. The length may be dramatic but works with the ancient magic legacy. She is a mythic character, and it makes her wand feel rare and slightly intimidating. The vine wood has “hidden depths”, destiny, sensibility, and a connection to people who seek something beyond the ordinary. It feels ancient without being evil, mystical without being too obvious.

The dragon core for Sebastian feels right. Powerful, olatile, fast learning, passionate, and dangerous when pulled toward darkness. The unbending flexibility shows how he is not easily moved once he decides something. It gives us Love, grief, guilt, obsession. Once he locks onto something, he doesn’t let go. The length tells us he is not subtle emotionally or magically, even when he tries to be. Lastly the hornbeam wood fits his obsessive focus. It bonds with a wizard who has a singular vision, personal code, or a consuming purpose. His wand is not just powerful, it’s loyal to his obsession.

She’ll absolutely demand a rematch later.

By the end of it, he’s embarrassed, red-faced, and pretending he doesn’t care.

She’ll spend the rest of the week trying to make you agree to another challenge.
