Bienvenue !

One of my friend started to watch kdramas and she asked me which one i liked, so I created this list of kdramas that i thought were good and that she should watch.

And now i’m sharing it to you guys!

Of course, i don’t know all the good kdramas and this is my personal opinion…Also I’ve indicated if they’re on Netflix.

• Strong woman Do Bong soon (Netflix)

A small and cute girl (Park Bo-Yeong 🤩) turns out to have a supernatural strength which will lead her to protect the cutest man in the world (Park Hyung-Sik), while a serial killer murders young women at night.

• Fight for my way (Netflix)

It’s the story of four friends from high school : Choi Ae-Ra, who has no job but dreams to become an announcer, her best friend Ko Dong-man (Park Seo-joon 😍) who used to practice taekwondo but stop after a particularly traumatic event. Baek Seol Hee, also her best friend, she’s very quiet and discreet and she’s in a secret relationship with Kim Ju Man, the fourth friend, for six years now. They’re basically four kids learning to become adults.

• What’s wrong with secretary Kim ?

Lee Young-Joon (Park Seo-joon again) is the perfect man : handsome, smart, rich (but very arrogant). Kim Mi So (Park Min-Young 😍) is his secretary. One day, she decides to quit her job. He doesn’t understand why cause he’s perfect, and realise that he can’t live without her. He’s going to do everything he can to keep her by his side. The show tells us the story of how they met and how they became important to each other. It’s very quirky.

• My first, first love (Netflix)

Yun Tae Oh (Ji Soo) reluctantly accept to host his three friends (Jung Chae-yeon from IOI, Kang Tae-Oh, Choi Ri) in his big house. Each have a reason and a story for being homeless. They learn to become adults in a very funny and sad way.

• Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (Netflix)

My favorite !! Kim Bok-joo isn’t an ordinary girl, she’s a college student and an athlete in weightlifting. Jeong Jun Hyeong is a swimming champion and her future best/annoying friend 😉. During her last year in college, she hesitates between her wish to become an athlete in a sport generally masculine or becoming more feminine for the man she’s got a crush on. I think the main couple have a great chemistry, probably because they were really dating during the filming.

• Wok of love (Netflix)

Seo Pung is a prize-winning chef in the restaurant of a huge hotel and about to get married, just like Dan Seo Wu, a young and rich woman. But then, things don’t go as planned (like always), they both end up hearth broken, jobless and poor. Du Chil Seong, a former gang leader, is going to change their lives.

• Age of youth / Hello my twenties ! (Netflix)

Cancelled after 2 seasons 😭 But you can steal watch it cause there’s an end. It’s surely one of my favorites. It’s the story of five girls who start to live together, we follow their personal stories, love stories, etc. It’s funny, dramatic, surprising, moving, yep, i loved it. I’m just a bit sad that they changed one of the actress in the season 2 but it’s still a good season ! (and there’s Han Seung-yeon from KARA, Hwayoung and Park Eun-bin that I absolutely love, she’s so funny !)

• Oh my ghostess ! (Netflix)

A young woman dies, but she can’t go to heaven because she never get to realise her biggest wish : to lose her virginity. She’s going to possess a shy and quiet girl (Park Bo-Yeong) to seduce her boss and fulfill her wish. She’ll realise later that it’s not just about sex but something way more meaningful. I really like this one because generally woman characters don’t talk a lot about their sexuality. It’s also very quirky. 

• Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung (Netflix)

It’s one of those historical dramas that I love so much, the story is a bit complicated but too be short, Goo Hae Ryung is a young woman who doesn’t want to get married but prefers to become an historian, she meets the hidden prince Dowon Yi Rim (Cha Eun-Woo from Astro !) who is a secret love stories author. And then there’s conspiracy, bad old men, a secret alliance, etc. I like how women fight all along to be as respected professionally as the men are.

• Suspicious partner (Netflix)

My favorite ! (Mostly because there’s Ji-Chang Wook 😍🤤 but also because the main characters have a great chemistry and the story is really interesting). The main female character (Nam Ji-Hyeon) is accused of murder. As a lawyer, Mr. Wook will try to defend her. They’re going to found out that they are linked by their past.

• One Spring night (Netflix)

I don’t know how to say it but this drama is more “mature” than the other. I don’t mean that there’s a lot of 🍆 scenes but because it’s the story of a woman, almost married to a man, but then she falls in love with a younger man. She’ll have to choose between disappointing her family or leaving the one she loves. There’s also some important topics approached like domestic abuse and how women struggle to make their own decisions under the pressure of men.
