Spending the last day of the year trimming my air and aquatic plants lol

So I’ve had this guy for about 2 years now. I’m a beginner fish keeper, and he was actually my first fish along with another goldie that had passed away about 1 week later after buying them. He has survived 2 bouts of ich, poor water quality, and the nasty goldfish flakes. Needless to say, he is a big, beautiful goldfish, and I love him very much. ((He was less than an inch big when I bought him, and is now roughly 5 inches long))

He is lovely! *O* Your tank setup in this picture reminds me a lot of mine when I initially started keeping fish as well. Goldfish tend to get very large and will require a very large tank or possible a pond in the future, so be careful of that! : )

So I woke up today to find Turnips fins a little more tattered on the edges.

I’m really getting worried.

Here are all his current symptoms

He has slimy, clear, regrowth on his back fin

He Has black specs just before the end of his tail fin

He Has holes on his top fin, pin hole sized.

He Will often swim around very oddly… He will roll over almost on to his side, then readjust himself..

If anyone could tell me what this is, or any ideas of what they think it could be? I’m still wondering. I really don’t think he’s just over flaring. This is the beginning of something else..something serious…

Doing a 50% water change today.
