Remus was conflicted by their age gap at first, he didnt want to take advantage or for sirius to end up bored because he only wanted the chase or the novelty of dating an older guy.

I think he was especially weary after sirius told remus some things about his past. After remus heard about some of the specific traumas and abuse sirius had gone through, he pulled back and was set on ending whatever undefined thing they had because he really thought sirius was vulnerable. Sirius of course assumed that remus was put of by all his trauma and baggage and felt so betrayed and upset by this.

When they inevitably were drawn back together, remus told sirius that he didnt want to take advantage, that he thought sirius' past made him more susceptible to being abused again and didnt want to take the risk. And oh sirius went off on one on this man, he hates being seen as fragile or having his past define him in any way and he hated when people he thought were stable walked away from him.

The visual is: sirius is standing there, yelling and berating remus, waving his hands and gesturing and accusatorily pointing at Remus and slapping his chest a bit in frustration, all while this 6'4 40ish year old man just stands there and takes it.

One thing though is sirius refuses to outright say he wants to be with remus after all this. that feels too vulnerable now, like he'll be showing his cards. And this obviously frustrates remus to no end because he thought he knew what sirius wanted, but now he's speaking in riddles and won't actually tell remus in clear what he wants.

Remus doesnt want to be decoding shit, he needs sirius to communicate clearly. So after sirius has calmed down a bit from his yelling, he says in as plain words as possible "sirius, I dont want to run away again. You and your past were never too much. I understand now, I should've just talked to you and been clear. So here's me being clear, I want you sweetheart, and I need you to tell me weather its mutual or not becau–" he is interrupted by sirius flinging himself into remus' arms and kissing him, mumbling "yes yes, you silly man" between kisses.

Sirius loves teasing remus by calling him old man he thinks he's being all cute and funny and loves when remus narrows his eyes at him.

Sirius had only had a few shitty unsatisfactory hookups and one failed half arsed relationship before Remus. Remus had never had very many serious relationships either nor was he one to sleep around a bunch, but he did have more sexual expirence because of his age, sirius is very happy about this fact.

The first time they have sex, sirius ascends. He never knew cock could be so good and he says these exact words to remus to make him blush.

Sirius works very different hours to remus since he's freelance, so he's always waiting at the end of the day for remus to come back from the office. He acts so put upon and like he hates it, but really he loves seeing remus come in in his crumpled suit and tie and his face lighting up when he sees sirius.

^ this also means he can surprise remus by lounging on the couch in lingerie and slutty outfits for him to find when he gets home.

One time while remus is fucking sirius, he makes sirius say out loud all his filthy fantasies and things he wants remus to do to him/do to or with remus.

When sirius asks to go again after they literally just finished, remus teases him for being so desperate, and sirius asks remus if he's too old to keep up, making remus pin him to the mattress to finger him or blow him or eat him out, because lets be honest, he can only get it up so many times in a row. however this will not stop him from servicing sirius.

Sirius sometimes wakes remus up with his nightmares, he always feels bad and tries to apologise but remus just jokes that he's middle aged and doesn't sleep though the night anyway.

They both realise they live eachother long before they say it. Remus knows very soon into their relationship that he loves sirius, but doesn't want to pressure sirius to say it back. Sirius knows he's loves remus but won't say it because he's worried that remus doesn't feel as intensely as he does. In the end sirius says it first, Remus just fucking lights up and immediately says it back and then completely ravishes sirius.

gryffindor wins the house cup. you're delirious. drunk on everyone's affection. my hands twitch at my sides when i walk over to you. your smile is so contagious; it's magnetic. i don't know what to say. Remus loves when sirius does this, yes sirius is complaining about him but how can he care about that part when sirius is so cute and charming about it? Also you best believe he's taking notes.

Remus responds with "what did this guy do this time?" And listen while sirius goes on some tirade about how he left for work without a giving sirius a kiss goodbye, then didnt even put a hearts in his text messages, and then got home late and didn't immediately ravish him. So obviously he doesnt even love sirius anymore.

Remus is in full gossip mode, nodding with complete sincerity and chiming in with appropriately timed "no way"s and "he didn't"s.

And yes maybe sirius adds some embellishments to the stories, so what if his boyfriend didn't actually say "I'm far too busy for you sirius. You know I care about my job far more then I could ever care about you." It adds to the atmosphere and drives his point home.

This is usually when remus breaks character with an "I did not say/do that!" And sirius defends "well maybe not in so many words but I can tell thats what you meant."

And remus starts kissing him obviously, how could he not when sirius is scowling at him and acting all righteous?

He says between kisses "I did give you a kiss this morning, you were asleep, and I didnt want to wake you and get bitten" sirius rolls his eyes and mumbles something about only biting when its deserved.

Then he brings up the "heartless, loveless texts I received though out the day?" Remus apologises for his lacklustre texts and solemnly promises to do better.

Then sirius says "and the most unforgivable crime of all, being late and not immediately throwing me on the bed and having you way with me?" To which Remus says "can I make it up to you now? Please, sweetheart?" and he's looking at sirius with those big brown puppy eyes, so really sirius had no choice but to forgive him and fuck right there on the sofa.
