Miguel: Your daddy’s lucky you’re such a cutie. I won’t let you be stuck with him too often.

Cameron: Fine, can you just help me now and stop moralizing?

Miguel: I’m not stupid, you just want me to do your job. I don’t mind helping and showing you how to care for her, but Olivia’s your daughter. You’ve got to step up here.

Cameron: Hey, that’s right, you have siblings. . . . 

Cameron: Keep it down, she’s sleeping right now. I think I’m doing okay, she’s been here an hour and I haven’t panicked yet. 

Cameron: Hello tiny baby, I’m . . . your dad, I guess. You’ll have to be patient with me, please. I really don’t know anything about babies or children. I still kind of feel like a kid myself. So, I guess I’ll try to keep to happy until your mom comes back. Hopefully you don’t grow up to hate me.

Cameron was uncertain about having to raise a baby girl. He had been an only child and still didn’t feel ready for the responsibility of being more than just a father. More than just a father, he would have to be Olivia’s dad, taking care of her every day, going to every recital or game, loving and protecting her. . . . It was a lot to have to live up to. 

Charlotte: Hello, Olivia. I’ve been waiting to meet you for so long . . . and now I’m going to be going away. I’m going to miss you so much. Don’t worry, though, your daddy’s going to take good care of you. And I’m coming back home as soon as I can. I love you, sweetheart. Don’t forget me.

Charlotte: Look, can I please just go into the delivery room now? I’m in a tremendous amount of pain.

Charlotte: Hello, I’d like to check in please. I’m in labor! 

Charlotte: Be quiet, you aren’t the one who has to push a baby out of your body!

Cameron came to visit Charlotte and found that it’s baby time!

Miguel: You can’t keep this from him, he has a right to know. And he’s going to find out very soon, anyways.

Miguel: Her? You’re having a girl!

Miguel: Do you mind if . . . I mean, is it alright if I . . . feel the baby?

Miguel: Hey, Charlotte. I was on my way to meet friends at the Blue Velvet.
