i was lowkey scared they'd get rid of tary's crush on percy bc they seemed to be setting up tary/gilmore in that one clip and the way the show has handled romance has been very very simplistic but i am very pleased to be proven wrong. it's also interesting to see percy hate him immediately rather than how it is in the campaign where everyone ELSE hates tary but percy kind of likes him despite himself. i think percy's going to warm up to him over the season and it will likely make the "kind of man i'd like to marry" thing hit harder
