A futile effort

I TRIEDDDD. I had this image of Lysandre's Ace Gyarados coming from a pool of dead magikarp, and really wanted to do something that explored one instance of his "giving and helping" that led him to think about the futility of his efforts, in addition to illustrating his genuine kindness. I personally am not a fan of canon Lysandre's "beauty" relating to physical/aesthetic beauty lol, so I really wanted to show him being willing to muck around to rescue a pokemon. The interactions were there to show how his philanthropy might have backfired, and over time + maybe mental illness, compounded the doomerisms.

Hopefully this is a fitting interpretation of his character, I haven't played XY nor ZA haha, only just watched a bunch of disjointed playthroughs!

The Penitent

Yay! A little L/Lysandre-centric comic, where the identity issues get tangled up with some odd confessional in a dream. One of these pages were heavily inspired by some gorgeous panels in The Confessional by Paige Hender, but with Floette's flower as the partition wall's pattern. Other than that, the rest of the comic is just a mish-mash of various discordant thoughts about L-Lysandre identity things. I'll leave it to your imagination and interpretation!
