Ask/RP blog for a Dandy's World reboot AU, mainly from the perspective of Scraps the Paper Craft. This AU is inspired by but not beholden to similar reboot AUs.

Asks about this version of Scraps are welcome, as well as general questions about the nature of the new show and toons in it. You can also be mean to the toons and hurt them, just please refrain from anything extremely sexual or weird.

Please note that this AU may include drastic changes that the mod does not necessarily agree with, many toons are quite different from their original counterparts and are often flanderized. When a distinction is to be made between two versions of a toon, the prefixes 1990! and 2012! will be used.

// i'm not sure which one is more tragic... though i will say, the early transitional period was likely very rough for the toons, as the people brought in to fill delilah's shoes almost certainly had to reverse engineer how to make new toons and redesign old ones, to say nothing on twisted prevention

<Scraps headed back to her shared room, and saw Goob playing with a chewed-up action figure. She quickly kneeled near him as his ears perked up.>

Huh- Oh, heya there Scraps!

Hey, Goob... Could you read this for me real quick?

<She held the note in front of him, and he repeated what Festive Anon had written. His eyes seemed to gleam in excitement.>

Ooh, ooh, you have a plush that we can share?! That's awesome! Can I see it please?

Yeah, sure, you can have it!

<Scraps handed the plush cat over to a clapping Goob, laughing to himself as he picked it up.>

Aww, its a cat like you are! Thanks, sis!

<She then checked the note, her pupils growing smaller.>

I dunno how old she is exactly, but she's in the same age range as Toodles, Gourdy and Goob. I think she's the oldest out of them all...?

Goob knows her way better, he says she's one of his best friends, right next to me. Sometimes when I pick him up from Rodger, he just won't stop talking about how cool and smart she is, how she should be the one teaching Rodger, stuff like that.

...Again, knowing Lila lives alone with Dandy makes me a bit scared and angry. Someone lazy like him really shouldn't be taking care of someone young.

Yeah... That sounds a little bit screwed up. I don't think I'd suddenly want to wake up as a boy, it'd probably feel weird as hell...

Sprout didn't use to be some uppity restaurant jerk, he was like a total mom friend to everyone, kinda overprotective but caring nonetheless... bffs with Cosmo... the Sprout I knew would be appalled at this mistreatment being normalized.

And how do I know you aren't just some creep looking to take advantage of us?

Sometimes in the show we spend the night at Gigi's... I forget the reason why we can't stay there permanently, but the nights we do sleep over are nice. I'm not gonna risk staying in a bad home again.

If you're telling me they hid this from us, then obviously not.
