Regarding the Prom movie

I will be reviewing it in full once it comes out, but here are my initial thoughts:

- Please stop just casting any big names you can find. Stop casting straight actors to play our very little representation in media. Stop casting white actors as POC. Ariana Grande should not be Alyssa Greene. Also: Alyssa is a teenager.

- I’m excited for Andrew Rannells and Meryl Streep. I love them. They’re fine. I’m on the edge about James Corden as Barry.

- If the actress for Emma is as bad as Ariana, I might just lose my mind.

they should have cast a gay poc actress for alyssa

every lead actor cast so far is white (i am pretty sure - please correct me if i am wrong)

Anyways, Arianna Grande, a straight white woman, should not be playing Alyssa Green, a lesbian of color. It’s racist and lesbophobic, and unless she’s recast the movie can flop for all I care.
