I don’t know where this dark and morbid possessiveness around celebrity tragedy came from, but I don’t want any part of it.
I don’t want to know where they are. I don’t want to see them through some blurry camera lens when they’re at their lowest. I get that at one point they touched every corner of this world and brought joy and laughter and magic to so many lives, but we don’t own their grief. We should have what they choose to freely give and be human enough to accept that.
There’s so many beautiful and creative ways people have already started honor him while respecting their privacy. If you’re feeling restless or overwhelmed by the unfairness of it all, please be a part of something good.
