Liz is Justice’s captain and Raora is the navigator and Cece is in charge of ship maintenance and Gigi is their tracker. Raora will sometimes lead them purposely off course so they’ll stop in ports she wants to visit and Gigi has a habit of chasing anything that runs regardless of if she’s supposed to or not and Cece is low key using the mission as a vacation from her other job and is in no rush to complete it and the king wants to get a new crew on this but Liz is the best captain they have and refuses to work with anyone but Justice.

Shiori is on the run for “treason” after she unearthed some of the king’s dirty secrets and Biboo is a noble girl who ran away with Shiori to avoid getting married off and FuwaMoco are a pair of disgraced bodyguards who killed their master when he threatened Mococo and Nerissa is peasant girl who killed several nobles when one of them tried to force himself on her. The curse turned Shiori into some sort of kraken made of ink and Biboo turned into an anglerfish type creature encrusted in gems and FuwaMoco became sea serpents with fur-like spines and fins sharp like claws and Nerissa became a siren with great wings and feathers in her hair.

- In the beginning, Advent was just fucking around and avoiding the law but at some point during their confrontations with Justice, their goal shifted to killing the king.

- Justice all grew up together in the same orphanage. As kids who hated bullies, they all decided to join the Royal guard together to fight for justice, eventually joining the navy.

- All of Advent have human disguises they can use to move around on land, but they struggle to maintain them for long. The ones who can maintain them best are, in order, Shiori, Nerissa, Fuwawa, Biboo, Mococo.

- Justice are some of the only ones who know of Advent’s status as sea monsters, but they won’t tell anyone in case it makes them treat them worse. They chase Advent for being criminals, not monsters, and they won’t let anyone get carried away just because they’re different.
