people say “if you don’t lower your standards, you’re gonna end up spending your whole life alone!” like being a healthy, happy, financially independent single adult is actually worse than being stuck in an abusive and/or emotionally unfulfilling relationship with someone who isn’t willing/able to meet your needs. like no offense, but I think I’m gonna choose to be happy rather than throwing myself into a relationship just for the sake of being in a relationship. 

my dad always told me and my sisters to tell ppl to “make it a great day” instead of “have a good day” bc having a good day suggests that the days we’re given are merely happenings when in reality they are literally what we do with them. he told us it was speaking power and positivity into the day and into ppls lives

so make it a great day, everyone.

I’m constantly torn between “if it’s meant to be, it will be” and “if you want it, go and get it.”

there’s nothing better than realizing you have outgrown something or someone. you are no longer captivated by the pain or toxicity. you’re free now.
