imagine this: there’s a character somewhere on this island who is running from a job and a significant other. maybe they left at the altar and ran away to some greek island named apate, completely poor and completely on their own, only to find out that some seventy-something-year-old italian man named shai would house them, so long as they worked as a gardener / bartender / cosmetologist / masseuse / food delivery driver / boat docker / literally any job under the sun that they might wanna work. no experience necessary, but all the experience welcome all the same. how iconic of a concept is that? all that’s left to do is ensure that that secret past life never gets out, which should be easy to do on an otherwise isolated greek island, right?

day three of tag-checking, and i’m busy hyping up my visit to some cultural markets with my cluster of friends. anyway, apate is a greek hotel run and primarily housed by people like your original character, who either work-for-stay ( think donna from mamma mia ), or pay their way into an otherwise lowkey structure set on the isolated island, apate. it’s a great place to come to run away from one thing or another. if that interests you and/or the burning muse inside, then feel free to check out our full plot and apply!
