“Find anything you’re craving?” Harry’s lips curl into a grin. Louis throws his head back and lets out a short cackle. He can’t even lift his head to watch how Louis’ eyes crinkle, body feeling heavy and endless.

“Absolutely awful,” Louis says, shaking his head.

“You’re supposed to say that you’re craving me,” Harry says, reaching over blindly for the plastic sleeve of thin mints he’d ripped open what feels like four hours ago.

“Perfect mate, can’t wait for tonight, you’re still coming?” Niall was now watching him expectantly as if Louis not coming to their weekly karaoke night was even an option. Louis had only missed it once so far and it was because of his heat.

“Of course, can’t wait to team up against you, Ni!”

“You know it’s not a competition, right?” Niall sighed while putting his now empty mug in the sink.

“Says the one who always loses.” Louis smirked.

OR Louis has a thing for karaoke and maybe Harry likes to sing duets with him.

Louis hasn’t even seen his legs yet. He doesn’t know how they work or how long they’ll be. Maybe they won’t suit the rest of Harry at all, and he’ll have to grow into them or something. It doesn’t matter; Louis has loved Harry for a year with scales, so he can’t imagine wonky legs putting a damper on his attraction.

He supposes he’ll just have to find out. In the meantime, he wonders how the fuck he got here, in his squelching wellies about to save the love of his life from the sea and take him to bed and bang him for the very first time.

It was clear that they were not going to talk about how they knew each other. Harry was relieved, he didn’t need Louis to spell out how fast he’d wanted to get out of the house back then, but it also made him anxious. The fact that they had seen each other naked and they were pretending it had never happened was hanging between them.

I had your dick in my mouth, Harry thought loudly at Louis, and then remembered there was a baby in the room and felt a little dirty. He decided to stop thinking about it altogether - Louis seemed to be managing just fine.

(Or, the one where Harry needs a handyman and it turns out they have a bit of a history.)

The drink waiting for him on the bar is not unusual - Perrie always makes his favourite after shows. What is unusual, however, is the man sat next to it, slowly nursing the same drink and smiling lazily at Louis like he’s been waiting.

“Hello,” he says, because his mum raised him to be polite, and the other man looks intrigued now.

“You’re English,” he says, and Louis blinks, because he hasn’t heard an accent like that in ages.

“I am,” he replies. “Are you?”The man smiles, and Louis’ knees absolutely do not go weak at the sight of the dimple carving it’s way into his cheek. He doesn’t answer, and Louis doesn’t actually mind, because the question was more rhetorical than anything.

“Don’t get many lads like yourself around here,” he says instead, and the man chuckles.

“No, I imagine you probably don’t.”

It’s a hot, June night when Louis spots the man in the crowd, and it’s about to get hotter
