At least Duchovny wore a suit and his wife was well-dressed—much better than Gillian Anderson, who didn’t even bother to comb her hair and didn’t bring anyone—other than her staff—to the event. Not even a single family member—because it was just a boring work commitment. Gillian showed up to the event in the same outfit she stepped off the plane in; she couldn’t care less about the award… It’s fine not to like him—because of his professional and personal choices—but be fair, especially when comparing him to Gillian Anderson. Duchovny was grateful and moved by the award and mingled with the organizing team, while Gillian Anderson couldn’t wait to leave. For festival attendees, he was far superior.

Only decent and honourable will criticize David. He is living a majority of men's dreams. Famous, poor, educated ,wealthy men have no qualms,bedding girls as young as their kids. If that is the level of acting she is going to bring to soapbox, we are in for a snoozefest. Her and her idol will give us reasons to laugh at them or to be sad. She doesn't steal the scenes, she does these unnecessary faces and some type of sing song. Terrible. It's no wonder she hasn't gone far in the industry. A boring face, sub par acting chops...unkind combo

Dick was definitely in paradise. All eyes and tributes were focused on him, as if he were a legend, a big name in world cinema. And to top it off, he was spending time with people his own age, with similar educational backgrounds, and with whom he shared common interests. It must be refreshing not to be in the company of people you have to pay to be there and who only flatter you because of that. As for his wife, who probably didn’t say anything important at dinner, people are polite—especially when they’re hosting a guest of honor. In private, they surely have their opinions about the crazy thing this man did by marrying this call girl. But that’s none of their business; the main thing was that they managed to land yet another celebrity to boost the Festival.

West is managing to look older and more masculine than her best friend/sister/stepmother. And she’s always striking poses like a 7-year-old, clowning around in front of the camera and clinging to others. That’s not appropriate for a 27-year-old—proof of this is that she was the only one striking those poses. If her appearance and demeanor are signs that something is wrong, her parents should take notice: the girl is lost and far from happy.

It’s ironic that the only photos of her with “friends” his age always show just her—and never the wives or partners of these friends alongside her. And, of course, the obvious joke of her sitting at a table surrounded by older men—her typical clientele, her target audience. The dress made her look stocky and muscular, but what I found worst was her hairstyle: a golden rule of elegance is that if you can’t style your hair to last through the ceremony, get a good blowout—with or without curls—and don’t tie your hair back. A hairstyle where strands are loose, shapeless, and constantly have to be tucked behind the ear gives the impression of sloppiness. At the premiere of Malice, her hair was okay; I think this time her sugar daddy didn’t cough up the cash for the hairdresser, and she had to fend for herself.
