The first batch of pics was bad. Nothing prepared me for the curtain poses. I expired at these poses. Nothing's cute
I think we're lucky that the brand doesn't produce leaky swimming trunks, otherwise we would have seen David in them😂.
He does not consider himself a shit, quite the contrary – let alone feels guilt for something. What he feels is a narcissistic shame of how he is seen in the eyes of others. The narcissist lives by public image: a narcissist's main strength is external validation and maintaining a facade of perfection, success, or virtue. If the relationship with someone much younger risks turning you into an object of joke, social judgment, or loss of status, the public image comes into jeopardy. Momonga has always been a "narcissistic supply" in the private sphere (it satiates her sexual compulsion and validates her youth, power and attractiveness), but she becomes a reputational risk in public if society sees her as "gold digger" or "call girl" rather than admirable. Narcissistic shame does not generate remorse or empathy; it generates hiding, denial, and control. Dickovny is not discreet and reserved with the relationship out of caring about Mo's or his children's feelings, but to protect himself from being seen as predatory or ridiculous. Or so pathetic and desperate that he has to pay for company.
One of the anon wrote that David was feeling guilty. I've always believed that David doesn't feel any guilt, and I agree with you that David is worried that his "external validation and maintaining a facade of perfection" is practically zero, which affects not only his ego, but also his business.
I agree that David doesn't give a damn about anyone except himself and his dick, and I doubt that any of his famous and adult acquaintances would risk maintaining a relationship with him now. Everyone knows how Mrs. Sugar Baby Duchovny likes to use everyone to brag about her "achievements" online.
Why here? We're in a geological vortex, a high intensity meridian. A cosmic "G spot"😂
Perhaps Paly did not even want to, but he, from the height of his egocentrism, offered himself – to appear, already in the vibe of the upcoming World Tour, and also to please his domestic employee wife (we should not take risks with those who cook our food). They felt sorry for themselves and didn't have the courage to say no. Because they have known him forever, if they wanted him to advertise, they would have invited him before, when he was in better shape. And because he's Mr. know-it-all, he's self-directed in this terrible essay. He's used these awkward, mocking poses before-and they weren't funny back then. The thing is that when the guy is at the peak of physical shape and with a gigantic sex appeal, any pose looks good. He still lives in the 90s…🤦♀️
I agree that David continues to live in the 90s. I may be wrong, but the first collection was released in 2022 and at that time David was no longer popular in the industry and his physical form can (in those days and now) attract only his sugar baby🤑 and his fans/peers.

You holding up? l've got plenty to read.
Maybe Paly didn't even want him, but he—in his supreme egocentrism—might have volunteered: to get some exposure ahead of his upcoming world tour, and also to curry favor with his housekeeper (you don't want to take chances with the person who cooks your meals). Then again, maybe they felt sorry for him and didn't have the heart to say no. After all, they’ve known him forever; if they’d wanted him to do promo work, they would have asked him back when he was in better shape.
And since he’s a "Mr. Know-It-All," he directed himself in this terrible shoot. He’s used these awkward, mocking poses before—and they weren't funny back then, either. The thing is, when a guy is in peak physical shape and oozing sex appeal, any pose looks good.
Jacob Elordi, a regular customer and fan of the brand, embodies the ideal profile for "distressed luxury." He’s nearly two meters tall, has the physique of a classic Hollywood heartthrob, and a reputation as an "effortless style icon." When he wears a $900 ripped sweatshirt with sunglasses and a designer bag, the visual message is one of intentional casualness—the worn-out garment acts as a pop-style contrast to his youthful appeal and natural good looks.
In contrast, someone like Duchovny (or figures with a more weathered, disheveled aesthetic) faces the opposite problem. On an older body—lacking the urban polish of a young "it-boy"—ripped jeans and a faded T-shirt lose their "fashion intent." The outfit stops looking like a deliberate luxury choice and starts suggesting sloppiness or poverty. That’s why I doubt Paly went after Duchovny; they understand this nuance and know that Duchovny wouldn't add value to the brand.
Jacob Elordi is 30 years old and the brand is mainly aimed at young customers. This style also helps Jacob maintain the image of the bad guy from his show.
If any brand does not want to use someone in advertising, then this will not happen. So I think both sides were interested in this advertisement. I think the brand wants to attract older customers, and David got the opportunity to show that he has a job besides his hobbies, especially since David's participation, like Eric's, does not require large expenses from the brand.
Mulder and Scully.
The more photos they release of the palyhollywood shoot DD stupidly agreed to the more cringeworthy it becomes. Firstly the clothes are horrible and do not suit a man of his age at all. Secondly what is with the ridiculous poses of each shot. Now there are ones with curtains that defy belief. For such a supposedly intelligent man he makes stupid decisions. This shoot is on par with the one he did at his house in the ugly grey suit where he looked half dead. He may know one of the founders who is dating his sugarbaby’s best friend but the other founder is a big no no and he just should have turned this down. Whoever is telling him to do these things, if anyone is, does not have his best interests at heart. This is the problem when you hang around with people half your age and you think you are cool when in reality…well the evidence is in the shoot.
I agree with one of the anonymous authors who wrote that sugar baby increases her social capital among her friends and uses an old idiot. It is possible that David did this for his wife's best friend in gratitude for her silence, because she knows the whole truth about David's relationship with sugar baby. But I think David wasn't against this pathetic photo shoot, because it gives him the opportunity to demonstrate that he has a job and stay under the illusion that he is a cool macho man. David has been in business for almost 40 years (more than his wife's age🤣), so he knows perfectly well who James Franco is.

Eric Roberts and James Franco. What awesome company DD has associated himself with!
I’m a big fanfic reader so I listen to the A03 podcast that comes out. At the end of it the ladies mentioned DD and what events he has coming up. One mentioned she wouldn’t attend because of him but to see other friends. Very tepid towards DD. This isn’t the first time I’ve listened and noticed this. Do you also listen?
Does anyone like him?
I just saw another pic from the photoshoot. He looks like he had work done, but what poor quality work!
It seems to me that David either became the official model of this brand, or became one of the founders😂.
Polaroids photos were fun during the X-Files era, but it's been 30 years since then🤣. It seems to me that they were just bullying the old man. There's not a single really cool photo.
I don't listen to podcasts. I just don't like this format. I'm sure some of David's fans like and will continue to like everything he does, regardless of the quality.
Jack and Daniel.
does he usually have someone working this hard on his IG promoting his work? Lately, his upcoming music and talks at bookstores have been pushed on his barely beating and alive IG. Whoever is doing it is not good because the content is not intriguing, but he's trying to get traction. The problem with dull and burst promotion instead of consistent content is that it comes across as desperate and rushed almost as if he is begging for someone to pay attention. That may not be his intent or concern but how the burst type of posting can come across and only when he needs people to remember him. He NEEDS the attention so that someone will buy the flea market stuff that he is selling. Did anyone buy any of his shirts?
I think tickets for David's "musical tour" are selling poorly, hence the hard promoting. No one wants to perform in front of a half-empty auditorium. I doubt David will hire professionals to manage his account. What, besides music, will he promote?
The James Franco brand is designed mainly for young customers, so I doubt any of them will pay attention to David's commercial. But it's possible that the brand is trying to expand its sales range, because Eric Roberts also advertised the brand this year.
I'm supposed to believe that's a real name?😂
One of his fans posted a link on YouTube saying, “it needs more views.” I didn’t click because I refuse to promote or inadvertently support anything that jerk does.
If that doesn’t scream the flat state of his career, what does?
Do you think he and Dollar Tree try to strategy to restore his name? Do you think he gets jelly of GA?
It depends on what you mean by "restore his name." It's impossible to restore David's reputation, because it requires drastic changes, and David certainly shouldn't even get close to people like James Franco.
David chose the simplest and cheapest solution, which will not restore his reputation in business, but it will protect him from ridicule and bullying in the comments. David admits that he has a wife, but next to her he pretends that she does not exist. David follows the principle of "I have a wife, but no one should associate her with an empty-headed sugar baby 33 years younger than me." So I doubt David hired a team for this purpose.
I always say if it's beneficial to Gillian.

Dana Scully.
I work in the field of speech-language pathology and vocal coaching. For certain activities, beyond dedication and study, the "biological lottery" makes all the difference. When it comes to singing, some people are simply born with a gifted vocal apparatus: vocal folds with excellent elasticity, resonance cavities proportioned to naturally produce beautiful harmonics, and highly resilient vocal health. The same applies to playing an instrument; it is not a purely motor-based act - it is also an auditory one. Those who play naturally often possess what neuroscience calls refined "inner hearing." They "hear" the note and rhythm in their heads before even touching the instrument. The instrument becomes merely a mechanical extension used to project a sound that already exists within them. Duchovny, like me, was not born with any of these innate advantages, nor does he seem to devote much time to study and refinement. Due to physiological and biological limitations, he would never become a great singer or instrumentalist, yet he could significantly improve his vocal technique and handle an instrument with relative ease - if he truly wanted to. This proves that it was never about a love for or respect for music; it was always an egocentric quest for admiration and applause. And that is understandable: the dopamine rush and validation a musician receives are instantaneous and visceral. For a narcissist desperately in need of attention to inflate his ego, the musical stage acts like an injectable drug - even if he sings terribly (and narcissism often blinds one to such limitations). In short: he is set for a long musical career🤦♀️
I can say that anyone can learn to play a musical instrument, but without the ability, it just takes more time and more work. But it is almost impossible to teach a person to sing if he does not have the appropriate abilities at all (David does not have them). You can improve his vocals a little, but not much. If a person does not hear musical sounds "inside himself", then he cannot reproduce them correctly / beautifully with the help of vocals.
I agree that David's musical career is a self-centered pursuit of admiration and applause. Once David's acting career has reached a dead end, singing is practically his only opportunity to see the enthusiastic fans around him.
I doubt David has a long musical career ahead of him. He can write another 10 or 100 albums, but he will sing in front of a couple dozen of his fans. It's enough to see how many people came to his first concerts and how many are coming now.
