Respiri is my first song for solo cello

Last week I had the chance to play in an astonishing location: @castellacciobagnacavallo

I thank them for inviting me to make the rooms resonate with my cello.

The Castellaccio (15th century) is one of the city’s oldest historic residences to be seen and experienced in Bagnacavallo in the province of Ravenna.

As of September 2023 it is ready to welcome visitors with its unique atmosphere full of history, in a place steeped in charm and authenticity.

What about the simple but crucial reason why we choose one path or another?

Some months ago I felt a strong need to answer these questions.

I decided to share what I found out as answers through my music.

I’ll let the cello speaking for me.

I’ve choosen to avoid complexity and superstructures, keeping an intimate solo cello voice to tell the story.
