Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the only person who brought up Hook's past misdeeds was a villain? Belle or Archie should have demanded an apology or show resentment that they're still not over what he did, not a woman who makes him look like a Church choir boy in comparison!

In Nasty Habits, Rumple did everything to save Bea from Peter Pan. Thats why I really like to know how Rumple would act, if he figures out it was all for nothing when Hook sold Bea to Peter Pan anyway. And that Bae has been mentally tortured for centuries. Hook should have never do that, even tho Bea was very angry at him. He was just an abandoned child who didn't knew better. If he truly loved Milah, he should have atleast kept Bae for the sake of her.
Hook is just a big manchild who canāt deal with rejection.
I do woner what will happen if Rumple hears about Hook selling Bae to Pan.
Seeing Pan-Hook deal in the next season doesn't mean Hook's safe. Actor will leave the show meaning he/she will stop being a member of regular cast, but they can very well come back for one ep as a guest star. Case in point - Graham (and probably Ruby since there were talks about Megan guest starring in 3b)... Spoiler only said that the character will be denied their happy ending - dead in the present, which doesn't mean they can't appear in a minor role in a flashback. 1-2
2-2 If anything it might mean Neal surviveās and his past will be further explored in S4 cause Iām pretty sure Panās deal with Hook involved him. Itās just my theory (ok, HOPE). But itās also why I donāt believe that Belle is safe- in the same interview A&E talked about exploring her past before Rumple in S4 so some fans decided that it proved sheās not the one whoāll die. I doubt that appearing in a possible flashback in S4 proves anything. It can still be either Hook, Neal or Belle.
I think Hook was more of a bully than a villain. However, he still did horrible things. Why do people write off his actions? Where is his apology to Belle for shooting her, Aurora for stealing her heart, and Nealfire for selling him out to the Lost Boys? Instead people see him as a better man bc he confessed his love for Emma?
Apparently people believe that all the people who hurt poor Killy-Willy-Poo's feelings should apologize to him for forcing him to do all of those terrible things.
I also like how people just completely ignore the fact that he helped Cora kill off an entire village of people just so he could lay in the dead bodies, so romantic!

They might not be my favorites but they're still dear core characters and I'd hate to see any of them go. The only one I don't give a damn about is Hook. No, actually I DO - I WANT him gone!
The way I see it, if someone has to go, Iād prefer it to be Hook. That would be a great relieve for all of us.

about Hook: EXCUSE ME, ARE YOUR LAST ANON CRAZY OR SOMETHING? Hook is not "trying to redeem himself", at least not in a convincet way. In s2, he didn't care bout helping Cora, and then Greg an Tamara, and then he left Emma and her family to die in Storybrooke. He only went back because he realized he was interested in Emma. Regina gave up her fucking son to save everyone, she's trying to redeem herself in a really convincing way, but of course, let's keep judging her and treating Hook as a hero
I donāt think Hook is fully redeemed yet, and I donāt think Regina is, either. I think they both need to apologize properly for the people theyāve hurt (most importantly Belle). Giving up Henry is a nice act, but I have a hard time rooting for her still because she said she doesnāt regret any of her evil actions, including the murder, torture, and rape she did in the Enchanted Forest, which she did before Henry was even born.

My main problem with A&E is that they brush off villains' past crimes. They want to be good? Ok try and be better people but first you have to APOLOGISE to everyone you screwed over! Why isn't Hook apologising to Belle and Archie?! Why isn't Regina apologising to the whole fricking town?! Why is Gold acting like his son is the only one who deserves to hear him say sorry?!

literally what is the point of an āantiā blog i mean why not blog about something you love and put your time and energy into that instead of constantly talking shit about a ship or character you hate
i never said there was a problem (although there can be and in my experience most of the time there is), i honestly just donāt see the point in devoting a blog to something you hate when you could be focusing on things you love
I donāt always understand people who make blogs defending everything a character does, even if theyāve raped and murdered and tortured people (like Regina), but thatās their right. I would never tell them āyour blog has no point.ā Itās their blog, they can post whatever the hell they want. As long as people arenāt telling their followers to go out and harass fans of Regina (or Hook, or Neal, or whatever), why do you care how others choose to blog? My anti-blog isnāt any less valid than a pro-blog.
Sometimes people need a place to vent with other fans who feel similarly. None of the anti blogs I know are about hating on a character or ship. They exist for people to vent frustrations in a safe place. Some of those people are even fans of the given ship or character the anti blog is for and they go to the anti blogs because they feel unwelcome in their own fandom or even to see things from the other side.
If it wasn't for the constant anon harassment and people acting high and mighty, then people would feel safer about blogging their opinions towards characters and ships. The anti blogs are here for a reason and that's to create a safe place to vent where you won't be attacked until you delete your blog just for having a different opinion from people. Why should we have to stay quiet and happily blog away about everything when there's shit that characters or even shippers/fans do that is way out of line? At least us anti blogs stay out of the ship/character tags with any negative opinions, if not then feel free to call us out if we ever step over the line.

Thereās a huge difference.
Difference being: If I had my way, I would have Hook die and leave the show forever. Thatās just how much I hate his character. He doesnāt deserve anyone.
Compare Hook to Spike in BTVS (who was in a fascinating match-made-in-hell relationship with Drusilla ), Hook doesnāt have anything or anyone that could redeem him and his shallow existence. If the writers had consistently written him as a villain and a lost cause, as what had canonically been portrayed in JM Barrieās Peter Pan, Iād have liked Hook to stay. But now heās just this āpoor manipulative opportunistĀ puppyā whoās looking for love.Ā
Anyway, since the writers are clearly going the apologist way and making it seem like the guy is āromanticā when heās really just a creepy manipulative asshole, I might as well crack-ship him with the most sensible choice for a partnerāTink. She seems to have a history with him. And she definitely knows Hookās ill intentions inside-out, and thus can protect herself from him when needed. Tink strikes me as someone who is both smart and tricky, but is always willing to have fun with Hook (and Pan)ās ādangerous gamesāā throwback to Barrieās canon! If anyone can challenge Hookās bullshit, itās Tink.
Emma, however, is currently in a vulnerable stateāmuch like Milah was when Rumple had been labeled a coward. All Emma sees and wants to seeĀ is Hookās illusionsāmuch like how Hookās aggression to have someone in his life served Milahās desperation to escape hers.Ā Of course, it isnāt Emmaās fault she feels this way, seeing as sheās dealing with a lot of shit at the moment. But Hook is actively taking advantage of the sticky situation that Emmaās had to confront in terms of being āthe saviourā whileĀ rebuilding her trust with Neal.Ā Hook is conditioning herĀ unstable situation to his advantage by:
Showing Emma an illusion of escape andĀ comfort (re: Milahās escape and abandoning her son), and
Manipulating Nealās kindheartedness and vulnerability as a way to destroy the poor guyās confidence (re: tricking an emotionally crippled manāRumple all over again).
Iām hoping that Hook actually does what he does to Emma/Neal, as what he usually does in canon (re: Hook using Wendy to get to Pan). What Iām honestly afraid of is that A&E have no understanding ofĀ any of the characters in JM BarrieāsĀ Peter Pan. This is evident when they shat on Panās legacy by making him into a grown-up. Thus, Iām readying myself for a big fuck-up.

I'm quite a big fan of Captain Hook, but I just wanted to say that you're one of the few blogs that isn't blatantly offensive to all Hookers/CSers (which I think makes you pretty darn cool). If I knew how to insert a GIF of me spreading rainbows and unicorns across your blog I would, but technology hates me. Even though I might not agree with your opinion of Captain Hook I can totally see where you're coming from :) keep doing your thing *hug*
To be honest, I'd love to have Hook as a villain and he had potential to be a real badass, but S3 came and woobified the heck out of him while everyone casually forgets the things that he's done. I'd appreciate OUAT more if the characters would stop trusting Hook so easily and make more jabs about how much crap he's done to each and every single one of them. If I were Belle, I'd never go anywhere near him and I'm pretty sure being shot in the back would cause trauma so I'd flinch when seeing him pop up around a corner or something. You know what I mean? He left the princesses to die in a cell without food or water, he knew they wouldn't escape since that cell held Rumpelstiltskin until the curse swept them all away. So maybe they should think about that/mention it more often and act a lot less trusting of him. Anyway--
I'm definitely not putting all Hookers/CSers all in one boat. (I pretty much don't agree with any ship that includes Hook unless he actually grew up and made an effort to fix all the things he did wrong-- Or found another villain lady perhaps and decided to be a badass villain instead of Killy Willy Poo.) If I ever mention the fans/shippers then I'm talking about bad apples who happen to excuse his behaviors and going overboard with forcing their opinions/excuses on everyone else. I know not all fans are bad. (:

the worst thing about hook as a character is that the entire show has basically handwaved all his past transgressions
we get one line from regina about how she hasnāt forgotten the torture, which is appreciated, but only serves to highlight how little hook is held accountable for anything heās done
regina and rumple struggle to be trusted and when they become accepted by the group itās hard earned and well deserved. they sacrifice, they admit their mistakes, they confront the crappy parts of themselves
hook doesnāt really have any of that. we get a backstory episode that is somehow supposed to explain away all his prior behavior (it doesnāt), and even worse, he insists that he is somehow honorable or noble in his actions when really he has
beaten and mocked a crippled old man and found it funny, because thereās nothing more noble than kicking someone who wonāt fight back
knocked belle around and shot her (AFTER she convinced rumple to spare his life)
resorted to sexually intimidating women almost instantly upon meeting them
handed regina over to be tortured
stolen auroraās heart so she could be controlled
destroyed nealās family and then considers it an act of honor to āback offā of emma only after forcing the issue despite her lukewarm reaction to him
pretty much sexually assaults emma in the midseason finale and this is supposed to be a punchline???? ahaha so funny and romantic to force a kiss on a woman who doesnāt know who you are
i would be able to appreciate hook as a character if these things had been addressed and he had to overcome them. but thatās not the case. heās suddenly a ~~noble~~ pirate (despite all his motivations seemingly geared towards winning emma, and not doing the right thing for the sake of it soā¦nope) and everyone has selective memory. even those victimized by him donāt seem to have any reaction to him at all. itās just downright shitty writing that makes him a downright shitty character
