It isn't correct to be trans in Islam.
Are you Muslim by any chance? Iβm just wondering where you got this info from because innate trans identity isnβt forbidden in Islam by any means

There are trans Muslims all over the world and many existed at the time of the Prophet (pbuh)
I was going to delete this altogether because the way Iβve written it is atrocious, the source iβve linked is transphobic and inaccurate, and this is from, i think, 4 or 5 years ago when i didnβt know enough about this to have even been talking about it β but bc i see itβs still being reblogged i will just give an edit:
- being trans is not and has never been forbidden in islam. As a shia muslim i want to point out that gender confirmation surgery is not prohibitedΒ
- as a south asian muslim i also feel the need to mention trans muslims have always existed in our communities and there is no doubt that they exist in the fold of islam. in pakistan there have been communities thatβve declaredΒ the humiliation of trans people, disowning trans people or keeping them from inheritance to be haram in itself.Β
- the article i linked here was taken from a wikipedia citation aboutΒ βgender variant people in islamβ and is a really harmful read β iβll instead let people do their own research on these prompts as there is a lot of information out there and iβll trust someone who is well read in this area to amend this post with a reliable link.Β
as always, my intention does not negate the impact my actions have and i deeply apologize to anyone who read this post and was harmed as a result.Β
