Jerome is the “chosen one of the chosen ones.” He’s the Gods favorite and very much not a good thing (/j). Very hobbit-esque quest in the fact Jerome especially has to go on the heroes quest to destroy two artifact rings which, in the wrong hands, can bring the God of Death back into power.

I don’t have a lot of info on personality since most of it is still just base Jerome- however! Something all elementals have in common is some form of self loathing/self hatred due to the fact they are an elemental. For Jerome specifically, this manifests an an almost savior complex like personality trait. He's an elemental- the chosen of the chosen even! He has the elemental of life!

While he wants to keep the fact he's a life elemental a secret, given the stigma around elementals and especially life ones, he also wants to help people. He wants to use his powers what they're made to do, healing.

While having the closest relationship to the gods, Jerome isn’t the leader- that role goes to Adam. Jerome takes on more of a background role the first go around, sticking to his claim of being a 'wood' elemental while trying to keep his actual role in the group a secret. Even when he's revealed to be a life elemental, he's ostracized by everyone but Mitch and only stays because of 'destiny.'

A fact I don't think I've disclosed yet is that this is technically a time travel story, though it doesn't have a bunch of travel, more so it just goes back in time once. At the end of the first jump, Jason and Jerome are the only two survivors of the group.

Jerome because of his healing abilities, Jason because up until the last like thirty minutes or so he's been possessed by the God of Life and Death.

It's Jerome-Centered with the premise being a group of gods beefing basically due to a love triangle. Every generation a group of people were selected to have magical energy based on their astral spirit with several requirements; You can work well together, you can keep it a secret and you're pure of heart.

The god of life later turned god of death ended up being sealed away but is now gaining power once more so for this generation, the two gods of the Sun and Moon grew desperate and ignored two of the requirements- only caring about those who can keep it a secret.

Thus, we move onto our hero party!

Elementals, as they're called, are absolutely hated/feared by the world, with life being the most hated.

Another more minor fact because I think it's really funny, originally Mitch dies three different times and Jerome has to bring him back each time. (First is a dramatic reveal, second is a 'I won't let you die!' kinda best friend moment and third is when everyone but Jason and Jerome die.)
