Fma is my comfort show

It’s phenomenal. If anyone is familiar with a fic where Edward gets stuck in Germany after everything and shacks up with Alfons, that would be great.

Some other things:

Alfons is sick and thinks he has tuberculosis for a good portion of the fic

Edward’s body is reversed, as in his heart is on the right side, bc his body was flipped when he went through the gate

He uses the above thing to convince Alfons that alchemy is real even though he can’t do it

In order to get home, Edward leaves Germany with Alfons to go to America

They go to a gold mine that Edward knows of bc of mirrored geography and they end up going to college with the money

Edward figures out that his blood will make the alchemy work, but they need a 3D array instead of a 2D one

They put together these large machines? That give off lasers that they use to 3D construct the array

At one point Ed gets drunk to try to access more of his memories of the gate

When they finally get back to amestris, Edward is deaf and blind for a while

Edward gets arrested for smth when they get to the city and so they’re all having to deal with lawyers and court stuff
