My wonderful boyfriend broke down and bought me tomodachi life living the dream. Mainly because I've torn my house apart, trying to find my old tomodachi life game to no avail. 😑
We spent the whole 4th of july weekend playing it. ( because of the heat and storms, there wasn't much going on near us to celebrate. I refuse to go into the city for fireworks anyway)

When I first saw the doll-breaking scene in The Boy, for some reason I was convinced the dust that came from the head was ashes, like from parts of the house that burned down. Like they faked Brahms’ death by pretending his body burned and was unrecoverable in the flames of the house fire, so in my head it made sense that the burned house would substitute Brahms’ nonexistent ashes. Maybe it was to help show their ‘grieving’ and sell the lie better. It’s not often but I’ve heard of people putting ashes in dolls, more often with infants or pets and silicone + soft toys instead of porcelain though. Realistically it was more likely sand or some other material to give the doll more weight to mimic a child, either way I don’t believe it’s porcelain dust because it just doesn’t disintegrate like that after one hit, and also how would it get repaired at the end if it did?
