Someone: *says something nice to me* Me: *starts crying*

Sometimes, even when I really wanna be little, I struggle to get into that head space. So I made a list of things that help me feel little, as a reference for caregivers.

- Tie my shoes for me

- Tell me I’m too little to do things

-  Put my paci in my mouth

- Use my little plates and silverware for meals and snacks

- Cut up bigger foods for me

- Order for me at restaurants

- Use my sippy cup for drinks

- Pick out my clothes for me

- Hold my hand when we’re out so I don’t get lost

- Bring me my blankie and teddy if I’m sad or sleepy

- Be silly with me in public when I’m feeling self conscious

- Play with me

- Read me story books

- Pick me up

- Tuck me in

- Push me on the swings

- Wait for me at the bottom of the slide

- Anything that can be more childish, get it for me (toothbrush, silverware, plates and bowls, bandaids, etc)

carries my teddy everywhere

runs down the hallway

probably not wearing pants

talks faster

higher pitched voice, it just happens

is either really talkative or really shy

giggly

wants cuddles

and kisses

please play with my hair

will randomly put my teddy on my head

sleeps with my teddy

kicks my feet in the air

will blush if you call me cute

pokes my tongue out and says ‘blah’

kinda whiny tbh

wanting to colour in with you

and cuddle while we watch a movie

“iiiii love yew!’

loves to sit on your lap

being called your baby boy!!!

stickers!!

bubbles!!

holding hands!! ah!

Little: daddy, do I ever get annoying?

Caregiver: of course not sweetie. Why do you ask?

Little: *frowns* I feel like I do..

Caregiver: *pats lap* come here little one.

Little: *walks over*

Caregiver: *sits little in lap and hugs her*

Little: *hugs back*

Caregiver: sweetie, you never get annoying. Not ever

Little: *clings to caregiver* but.. I’m little almost all the time. Don’t u get tired of taking care of me?

Caregiver: *puts finger to littles lips* shhh, Baby. I don’t get tired of taking care of you. There are actually days when daddy needs to take care of you. 

Little: *gives a confused look* 

Caregiver: *smiles* that’s right. Daddy needs to take care of his baby. It helps me relax, and have fun all while spending time with my little angel. 

Little: *blushes* 

Caregiver: *gives little a big kiss and holds her* I love you sweetie, dong forget that. And trust me, you’re never annoying to me. 

Little: *smiles back* I love you too daddy. Thank you
