“Seriously? I mean everyone has that one thing they have in their hearts. What’s stopping you?”

“Nah, you’re good. Come on, it’s this way.” He said, leading her in the direction of the art walk. “I figured we could walk around for a bit and then grab some food and take it to the International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park and have a picnic. Then, there’s this bookstore that takes up an entire city block. Thought we could check that out.”

“I’m really glad you agreed to come out with me, you know. I wasn’t too sure you would.” He admitted, honestly.

How fortunate it was that Neal had all of this covered. “It sounds perfect.” And it truly did. Madellaine had zero experience with dating, and, as far as Portland went, she knew even less. It wasn't often she dared defy Sarousch, but she had clearly, willingly made an exception for this date. No, she wouldn't assist, she wouldn't steal, she wouldn't do anything Sarousch had on his agenda, just for one day. Besides, Madellaine had fled his tent before he could protest. She'd find out his opinion on the matter once she'd get back.

ooc;; Heey everyone! Big announcement;

I'm moving all my blogs (Madellaine, Belle, and my oc Sylph) to a multi-muse blog. This blog will be very selective, and probably will not follow many people at first. This is the first time I try writing from a multi-muse blog, but I think it will help me clear my mind, keep my blog active, and, most importantly, make it as fun as writing is supposed to be.

Neal had been surprised when Madellaine had actually accepted his offer for a date. The fact that they both were in similar lines of work (if you could call it that), was helpful. He kind of felt like they were kindred spirits. He had scouted out some cool places in Portland and had asked Madellaine to meet him at the Art Walk. Once he arrived, though, he realized how utterly confusing it was to find and hoped she’d manage.

He decided to walk a bit off the path to see if he could find her. After a few minutes, he heard his name and smiled. “Hey, you made it. It’s not too far, just down the block.”

In similar surprise, Madellaine had accepted the request. At first, when Neal so subtly revealed to know what was in her bag, the woman deemed herself done for. He'd surely tell on her, she figured. But, he didn't. And now it seemed like he never would. He had charmed her with his kindness, enchanted her with his warm character, yet that had not been enough. Madellaine needed a guarantee, to know she would be all right, that she wouldn't get into trouble with the circus boss. In the end, resolutions were thrown overboard, and a date was set.
