since people want to misread / misrepresent my words and attack my friends over it, no i am not saying having factives is bad. i literally have a handful of factives as headmates, but the difference is we :

a.) do not tell the person that i have a factive of them

b.) do not expect the person to be okay with it

d.) understand that behavior is parasocial & work on preventing that behavior

c.) WE SOURCE SEPERATE AND DO NOT INTERACT WITH SAID PERSON

the issue is your first sentence. "having alters of real people that you do not know in the slightest is insanely parasocial and not okay whatsoever." you are right there saying that having factives AT ALL is parasocial and not ok. you then add "and" as to say also or this + this. you arent adding a condition to the first sentence. you are adding to it. i agree that broadcasting it to someone is weird (disgusting is a little far imo) and we dont do that with our factives. (and 99% of our factives are people we dont know personally.

so idk how im misreading your words. you said a statement and added to it. maybe you shouldve reworded your first statement

It's weird how sysmeds keep making these blogs claiming to correct misinformation, end up spreading tons of misinformation, And then just decide to block every single person who tries to correct them.

It comes off less as if you're actually interested in correcting misinformation, and more that you just want the ego boost.

You want to say a bunch of stuff without doing the slightest bit of research, play pretend like you're helping educate people, and then get the people who don't know any better to praise you for how much they're "learning" from you.

It's sad. It's pathetic. And it's oh so cowardly!

If you are planning to run a blog dedicated to correcting misinformation, at least grow some backbone and stop hiding behind the block button.
